New track DLC every month?

When I first heard dlc track every month I was so happy. I was thinking this game would never get old. Tracks are what keeps this game fresh to me. Now I look back thinking how stupid I was to believe them.
Don't trust PD with what they say, because most of the time it is not completely true. I really am getting tired of these marketing gimmicks that make games look really good but they turn out to be not as good as they were advertised. For example with the new features for GT6, PD used language that made it sound like that all of this stuff was done and ready but not in time to be written on the disks and that it would all be released within a FEW months. Well look what we have now, only 1 of the several promised features (Red Bull challenges) and it has been 3 months since the game's release. There has only been 1 VGT car out of the possible 25 being made, bugs are still here, and no new tracks as well. Hell, it will take years to get all of this stuff out at PD's current pace. :banghead:

They will give us two tracks together for february/march.
So....when is the Senna addition coming?
Ha Ha so many promises.

The real problem is this Beta release is on a superseded console. It is a last ditch effort to extract the last few pennies out of the GT series diehard fans.

What should have happened is this fiasco of a cobbled together bug-fest should have been GT6 Prologue and only half the money for what has turned out to be half a game.

I was quite happy with GT5 Prologue and I knew exactly what is was before I bought it - half a game for half the money.

There are 6 million PS4s out here right now all struggling for content and I will guarantee you all Sony is putting pressure on all the developers to get content out there as fast as they can.

GT7 will be getting full priority right now and even Kaz himself said he hoped it would be ready Xmas 2014!

So GT5 still has support, GT7 will be flat out being developed and so where do you all think the resources for GT6 are?

I believe this is why this game is so buggy because it is cut down code from GT7, poorly implemented and barely tested.

Sorry fellow GT6ers we have drawn the short straw here and have been well and truly shafted :-( PD has our money and their care factor has plummeted to below zero!

What PD had better be very careful of is another developer bringing out a title that is as good and I think GT fans would flock to it, especially if they appeared to be interested in the community's opinions.

So true. The fact is, we were charged full price for half a game then lied too about it being "finished later". Now they don't even have the guts to say "yeah, were dumping this beta so... too bad"

Has it actually been confirmed that PD isn't supporting GT6 anymore? That's it, Forza Motorsport, here I come!

Well no Feb update, no new patch no news, no VGT. Im normally not one to rant but this is beyond a joke now. Didnt somone say we were meant to get a VGT yesterday to go with the motorshow?

No, its conjecture based on the current silence and lack of updates/extra content. No basis in fact and little more than doom-saying at this point.

@Jordan - he had it confirmed that we are receiving extra car content sometime this week. No specific day was mentioned.

On top of that they cant give any news or information about why is it delayed they kept silent

Ill be one angry beaver if we get another garbage car update before we get B-spec, Community features, Working online races, Arcade settings and course creator.

I Don't require ALL of those in one update.. but here we are in march, still playing Half a game which seems focused on this KAZ VISION and RedBull(crap) cars.

This is the information i was looking for. Thanks Vagabond

I tweeted Taku Imasaki (the man who mentioned the monthly track dlc) about the fact that we haven't seen new tracks in 3 months.
He replied that it was the original plan, and that tracks are still being worked on.
He also asked about which tracks I'd like to see, so I pointed him to the Track Suggestion wall on our forums :)

ask him, if he knows when are we going to get an update?

No. Please ask him IF we get an update at all :sly: and if the promised content will be in GT6 at all or only GT7.

Why is the information always coming through small links and inofficial ways? Why the .... can´t they just tell us some official stuff. We are not mad at PD or SONY for giving us delayed DLC. We are mad because they don´t talk to us at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the update comes to GT5... I wish PD would tell us FAR in advance what will be in the updates instead of this surprise secret crap that they've been doing for both GT5 & GT6 and be required to post a weekly update about what they are doing over there.

Really good points and I would have been happy with that.

My day job is in marketing and sales and my automotive blog is my hobby so I believe I have some insight into this problem.

I think the silence is because they can't respond with certainty, for a variety of reasons we are not privy to. That said, they have decided it's better to be silent than over-promise and under-deliver.

Not communicating is harmful to your brand and customer relationship even though the premise of not over-promising is sound. The caveat to that practice though, is a trusting relationship with the customer. The trust here largely has been or is very close to, being compromised.

It's unfortunate the communication has stopped but there could be some very important reasons that only the staff at PD and Sony are aware of.

It doesn't take a marketing expert to work out that the lack of communication is detrimental to all involved ;-)

We are not even given the common courtesy of saying "Sorry, we have had some slight problems with the updates but we are working on it" Or "Here is a small patch to stop online drop outs or car sounds or any of the other myriad of issues"

But no, nothing, zip, zilch, SFA!

PD's arrogance in this is appalling!

I think I can speak for most here when I say, if there was an alternative to GT6, especially it was on PS4, I would be gone.

To demonstrate how desperate I (and several of my friends are) even an Xbox 1 and Forza has been considered as an alternative. The only thing stopping us is the sub standard Xbox 1 and having to deal with "The Evil Empire" ;-)

Here is a conspiracy theory for you all. What about a company making a game so bad and so buggy that when the next incarnation of the title comes out (let's call it GT7) nobody will want to stay with the previous title (let's call that GT6) and would immediately migrate to the new title and platform it is on? Instant game and console sales = even more profit. What is worse I am probably stupid enough to do this :-( I have a PS4 and I am starved of content and there NO real racing games available. BTW Don't even mention that filth NFS!

I am not happy with you Kaz and PD :-(

agree.

He mentioned

We will be getting something within 7 days.
Which was six and a half days ago. So if there isn't any content coming withing the next 18 hours this was just another false statement from someone inside Sony / PD to calm the masses. Even if there is something it better be not only the overdue track and one VGT. We are missing CORE features that were removed from GT5.

Fair point. If nothing comes in that time frame, we'll be every bit as disappointed as you... and I'm sure it will also cause Jordan to question the veracity of his source in future if that is the case.

Sounds like a line out of some cheesy romance movie, which makes it funny sadly...

As I said in another thread, PD for GT6 cannot release promised feature and promised montly tracks, even for those they gave the ETA (like the new Spain track which should have been released for the end of February, someone saw it in the game?), meanwhile a Free 2 Play like SimRaceWay right Tuesday revamped the Sonoma track and added so much layout that now it have 17 between using the main track, support tracks and drag strip, plus tomorrow they will revamp the kart layout and will improve it also by adding lot of layouts for it too... Meh, this is a bit disappointed thing...

And you guys talking about "Has it actually been confirmed that PD isn't supporting GT6 anymore?", in a recent interview Kaz said that their effort it's mainly to complete and improve GT6, GT7 workout it's just secondary... But I don't trust 'em anymore, it's clear now that everything they do for GT6 it's in vision for GT7 and maybe this overly delay on GT6 content release it can be related on their effort to release GT7 for the end of this year, like (again) Kazu told in an interview... But as (again again) has been said that GT7 will be an improved version of GT6 thanks to the new hardware, how can they are supposed to release GT7 when GT6 isn't finished? (I also said this in another thread)
