as featured on the news page of gtp, i saw the stone city in the background and so its a track running around Ronda, Spain (that makes sense as Kaz has a hard on for this city). i googled up lakes around Ronda and came up with Ardales. Ardales is situated between three regions of Málaga (that of Antequera, to which it administratively belongs, Ronda and the Guadalhorce valley. Perhaps the most arresting thing about this region is its scenic setting, made up of the reservoirs of the River Guadalhorce, to all intents and purposes, lakes, and the spectacular Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (Los Gaitanes gorge) with its "almost movie like" Caminito del Rey (King’s Little Road). i looked up some images and i like that this is likely the local that makes up this new track, thats my guess.

This is not Ronda, to me. It's really to far from those big lakes + the city layout doesn't feel the same.
It seems to be in Spain, south of France or Italy...

Less than 20 km from Ronda is a reservoir know as Embalse de Zahara-el Gastor and bears a good resemblence to the lake pictured in the news section. It's a definite possibility and the roads look similar but could be anywhere in Europe.

Can't wait, looks fantastic. I just hope they include it in a new section of the career mode or something, and don't make it exclusive to arcade mode.
Could be DLC....Maybe a Seasonal to follow shortly after. Could also just be a teaser for the launch of the Course Maker with Ronda as the first region.

The track is based in and around Zahara de la Sierra, about 20 miles from Ronda ( 50 or so miles from Marbella ) looks a gorgeous location and as you have proberbly read is going to be longer than even the Nurburgring. Very excited about this track, I always wanted a feature that I described as a pleasure drive, some beautiful stretch of road where you could cruise and take in the scenery, this ticks the box for me : ) Even better, I reckon we will have a few different layouts as well.

It seems that it may be free content. It will be coming with the Red Bull X cars before the end of the month.

And it's a dream come true. Can't wait to do a couple billion of laps on a scenic, technical and very much real 27km+ stretch of European road. PD should stop announcing such updates at the last possible moment. Damn.

P.S: the new track means that now we may be able to have a real Toge community (with a definite Mediterrean vibe) in GT.

Instead of a new track, I would prefer the Tools to build my own.

Understand, Kaz? We are there. Get your act together and stop working on useless stuff.

Probably going to make us pay a ton of money for it.

The track editor is coming but I would not call this track ' useless stuff ' it looks awesome, its tracks that we need rather than new cars and this track looks to have time and weather change which is fantastic.

You know what? I agree. It looks awesome.
But I would prefer to get my own Tools to build my own awesome tracks instead.

The people that make this track are not the ones that make course maker. So there is no need to bash Kaz!

Giving the probable fact the the yet to come track generator will be almost the same that the one in GT5, we could use those extra folks to work on it.

I'm hoping we get a more advanced version of the editor, remember we are getting the GPS feature also which is very exciting, I have a stretch of country road near me that looks like you could be on the Nurburgring, would love to razz a Ferrari along there : )

This track is what will bring the next level of fondness to the GT6 game , a point to point style that is desparately lacking so far, (prior seasonal / generated skinny surprising unintuitive apexes of Toscana tracks never cut it IMO)

totally reminiscent of the very first Test Drive game, on the Amiga, in glory hardware of today.

can't wait for this, and for the PS4 version of the next great GT game. we're so spoiled.

still Saving to buy the 20mil classic Ferrari for this. 60% there. (casually)

Have you ever played ModNation Racers? That's exactly what we need.

And By the way, since you are living an England, do you know any shop that could ship me a copy of F1 2013 for the PS3? That game is so rare in Canada, that they are selling it for more than 200$.

I wish I still had Test Drive Unlimited 2. That game was better than GT6.

Yet another lie from PD! Here it is at March 2nd and we have nothing new released. I am at the point where I am so disappointed with PD that I have no intention of buying a PS4 and GT7. If this is indicative of how they plan to operate and screw the fan base that has been created, I sincerely hope that PD goes "belly-up". I have many expletives I would love to use at this point, but I am trying to keep it clean and still voice my immense displeasure at a company who is only out to rip off their fan base after 15 years of loyalty. Kaz and PD have become corporate sellouts and if they ever expect to keep a large portion of their fans, they need to produce some real results soon. If not, I would not be surprised to see the Gran Turismo franchise fade to black. I will continue to play through the updates for GT6 or until I get so bored I stop playing, but I am pretty much convinced I will be one of the GT faithful who has had enough of the lies and corporate greed taking precedence over the fans expectations.

I give them the benefit of the doubt. It's a long and complex track, so maybe testing is taking longer than anticipated. Let's have the bugs ironed out before we drive it please.

On the other hand, they may be just so busy screwing the fans in the back room that they don't have time for track development. There is that possibility.

My money is on it being the (long overdue) course maker rather than just a "new track". Bit's and prices look very similar to the course maker videos.
