Thank god for this. Now drag racing lobbies will be a lot more easier to run in. No more of people deciding to play bowling while we all line up. Only issue I see with this is people trying to run a race in each others ghost.

Surely if he hit the brakes later than you did, you could have hit yours later? Otherwise they would be carrying too much speed and over-cook the corner or crash?

I can see the argument in someone going through you rather than around, but disagree about the late braking scenario you've quoted...

Going behind someone in a race requires you to break earlier than the car in front due to:
1. Higher speed = Longer braking distance
2. Less drag = Less help from the aero to slow your car down = even longer braking distance

If you don't need to brake earlier, you're too far behind, and the pass is thereby impossible to complete.
But in this scenario, you've realised that way before reaching the braking point.

This is a FANTASTIC feature for all those nutballs out there who don't really want to race at all!!!!!

This is a FANTASTIC feature for all those turkeys who just want to drive like kooks around the track, going fast from sloppy corner to sloppy corner.

This is a FANTASTIC feature for those jokers who don't like actually "racing" but think people in other cars in online races are "in their way", and really just want a hot lap contest with witnesses.
I'm not seeing how any of those scenarios requires the condescension on your part. You are aware that there are trolls online no matter what kind of room you have setup, yes? Be it a cruise room, or a time attack room, or whatever; someone will probably join just to ruin your day.

Who ever said racing clean means ZERO ACCIDENTS OR RACE INCIDENTS EVER?

Also, do you consider ghost-passing racing clean?
Because I don't.

There is a thread from Nov. 2011 titled 'what is clean racing'. Apperantly not everyone agrees. My opinion: yes, clean racing means zero accidents or 'incidents'. And yes, if someone is ghosted for any reason "i.e. short cut penalty", and you pass thru them, clean pass. I believe you should have reasonable control over your car and if you hit, rub, bump, nudge, etc. a car that is not ghosted, it ain't clean. That is why I'm happy for the ghost option because of people who believe having 'race incidents is clean racing'.

Hello, I think a better method would be simply penalize reckless drivers with time delay and removal from the track after X-times, (X) being two.
Most crashers aren`t trying to win, just disrupt the race.

It's too bad there aren't any clean real-world racing leagues, since clearly none meet that definition. I guess that level of skill and professionalism can only ever exist in the virtual world.

Sure, there are real world drivers that can race clean all day. That level of clean "skill and professionalism" is probably the "norm". Entire leagues 100% clean all the time? Of course not. In the virtual world in an open lobby, we bump and rub alot. I just don't think the definition of clean includes bumping into somebody, real or virtual, intintional or accidental. That is why I am looking forward to racing with collisions off. I think it will be fun.
