Yes, the SL55 is better in nearly every area than the 206CC (not price, not fuel economy, probably a couple of other things - reliability? Warranty? I don't know). The question is whether the SL55 is so much better than the 206CC that its higher price is justified. If the SL55's higher price is not justified, then the 206CC is better because the money saved buying a 206CC will outweigh the other categories it loses to the Mercedes. The problem is deciding what's justified. In my opinion, the Corvette's price is never justified in being that much higher than the Mustang's, in any form of either vehicle.
