Can someone please tell me whats the difference between powersliding and drifting. All I can do is get my s2000 slightly sideways but not completely.:indiff:
Please send photos too if possible
I've been practising for about a week now by the way

well drifting involves using techniques to manage the car sideways before corner, around the corner and out of the corner.

Go to the drift video section and watch some of the videos there...

also check www.driftaustralia.com and go to one of the events and have a look :D

I manage the car sideways before corner but I cant hold it out of the corner. What is wrong.

Your technique is bad.

Check out the drift reference and other guides and keep practicing.

explain more....could be that you do not have enough speed to puul through because you are starting to early...starting an early drift is gud unless it makes you slow down to much, then you want a higher entry speed, or cut down how early you start

You will find that you cant keep the arse out around the end of the corners because grand tourismo 4 is seriously bugged. When driving a real car the more power you use the more the rear will come out. This doesnt happen in gt4 god knows why but to keep it sliding around i found, is to keep the revs down and be very gentle on the button ie dont keep it flat otherwise it will just act like an open centre diff.. IT pissed me off at the start becuase it is extremely unrealistic, but u just have to find the right technique for the game and then you will find you can do it :D

Drift. Intentionallycausing a vehicle to exceed its tires’ limits of adhesion, exhibiting a lateral slip, resulting in an over steered condition.

Powerslide. An American racing term for drifting that commonly refers to using excessive horsepower to cause a loss of traction resulting in a drift.

hope these help you.

i have the same problem

but i tend to lose it 1/2 way in the corner as well

i use a faint technique with no hand brake

and obviously you need the right settings- im a noob too! and wonderin how to post a drift video of me perfecting r246, i haven't a clue how!

the settings dont make the car drift, the driver does. if the car doesnt drift, its driver error, not car error.
if you wish to post a video read the stickies in the video forum.
