Maybe a more realistic cop system. Like if you get one star, you can pull over and the cop will come over and give you a ticket, which you would have to pay. Well, depending on the crime you can get a ticket, for hitting another car or something, not killing someone. But you still have the option to run.

Also, in SA highways, the cars are programmed to match your speed, and it seems like no matter what car your are in, even tractors keep up with you. Unless you use nitris. In the next one I would just like to see a set speed limit, and the slower cars go a realisic speed.

What about a James Bond style car with gadgets that can do vigilante missions, but you'll have to steal it from a secret underground lab or unlock it by completeing the whole game?

That's strange when it comes from somebody called evil genius  Nice idea though! Maybe there's a mod for a current game out there that does that ....

How about this...

Instead of a set story to complete, the game has several mini stories that can each finish the game, including going straight.

To apply this to GTA:SA so you can understand what I mean, think of all the interwoven stories that made up the main thread; gang wars, mechanics shops, RC shops, girlfriends etc... Now take each of them and add in endings based around those. Maybe you decide you want to take over the suburbs so you go around shooting gang members and drug lords. Maybe you want to take over the towns car yards so you buy them one by one. And so forth with all the small stories. Doing on thing doesn't have to effect another story but maybe it will.

How about applying the cop star system in reverse. What if you decide to go straight and buy businesses or donate money to the city - you could get good stars instead. You could use the star system to determine whether or not you can buy a busniess or have to take it over by force.

The only other thing I would like to see brought back is GTA2's ability to work for any gang. As you do work for one you lose respect with the others.

There needs to be more stuff to unlock for completing the game 100%. In San An, ya didn`t even get an armor(armour for you Brits :sly: ) or health boost as in Vice City. What a rip-off :irked:. I`d also like to see some kind of reward for a high criminal rating, otherwise it`s pointless except for bragging rights. What the rewards would be, I don`t know. That`s for R* to decide, I guess. :boggled:

You get 150% armour for vigilante missions, and you can get 150% health for doing paramedic missions (or you just wait and it will gradually go up). IIRC, getting 100% in the game gives you double damage resistance for health and armour as well.
I think a few more rare vehicle spawns scattered throughout SA would have been nice as well.
A jetpack in every city, Hotknife in LS, Turismo in SF, Infurnus in LV. That sort of thing.

Yep and a better mansion. Have one east of the SF airport so that way its in the middle of everything, it spawns a hydra, hunter, infernus, nrg-500, weapons, armour, health, underground car park to store cars (like the size of the police impound), jetpack. How cool would that be!. VC mansion was soo good as it was middle of everywhere, plus it had all the good stuff.

And your idea Emohawk is a good one also 👍

It'd be nice to be able to buy and develop your own property. Expand the house, buy various spawns, that sort of thing.
Safehouses can get pretty expensive in SA, but they still don't usally come close to using up the vast reserves of cash you aquire from just playing the game normally (meaning plot missions only). This sort of thing would give you something fun to do with all that money.

But Turismo and Infurnus spawn normally anyway, I don't see the issue...

They don't spawn in any specific location, just 'on the street, sometime, somewhere'. It'd be nice to have a really fast car to just hop in anytime you load a save there. I don't like taking up garage slots just so I don't have to steal something crappy when I load the game.

I dont even use the garage slots really, only for cars like a tank or something. But yeah it would be good to have a few more spawn points around.

The mansion in VC ruled! I agree about a better mansion in the middle of everything. Also, in an earlier post I said ya didn`t get a health or armor boost as in VC. What I meant was that upon reaching 100%, you don`t get health & armor boosted to 200 as in VC.👎 That sucks. It`d be cool if there were like 150 properties & stuff that are optional to buy, and not required for 100%. Of course, any self respecting GTA player would buy`em all. :sly:

Better mansion definitely ... at least one with a garage.

I like the idea about the interwoven, separate storylines. How about this: you can choose between a number of characters; a white male, white female, black male, black female. Now what if each character spawns a different storyline? Just an idea.

I really, really want a different speed variation system installed. The traffic on GTA isn't set to coincide with your speed, but every car travels at the standard fastest speed of most of the normal cars. I wish each area had a speed limit sign somewhere, and cars abided by this. I also wish your car had a speedometer, and possibly even a button to press which you could activate a speed limiter which automatically abides by the set speed limit of each area. Mafia was on the right path.

Blinkers? Mafia had this set, too. Another thing that Mafia had in it was what was mentioned before, that doing menial things (1 star) would warrant a ticket symbol on the top of the screen. You could choose to pull over and receive a ticket, but you could disobey this and head on a chase. This would warrant a handcuffs symbol, where the police would chase after you, and handcuff you when they had the chance. I wish handcuffs and tickets were input into GTA. If you killed someone, or shot a gun at someone, the police would go into a sort-of "take down mode" where they would take you out (shooting, running you over, etc) at any cost. This would be great in GTA, and make for some fun for people looke for it, and make it easier on those wishing to abide by the law.

More realistic health deterioration system where, say, getting run over would take off more health than it does, or falling off a bike. The impact of the hit and fall could determine the health taken off. In fact, Mafia had a system where running into things with your car hard enough would result in health loss. I doubt we would see this in GTA, but it would make for better drivers. Possibly ability to toggle some of these things on and off? I doubt it, but you never know...

It irritates me when the CPU controlled traffic lags and don't drive smoothly. I realise this was a result of overloading the disc, but hopefully it will be gone. Possibly make lane-changing by traffic slower and smoother. Smarter traffic, which looks before turning into a corner rather than merely driving into it and hitting you would be nice.

GTA clock set to your Playstation clock, rather than advanced time? I really want this, and have done for a long time.

If, and most likely when, more cars are added, input a feature where cars have brands and makes. Like a Chevrolet Washington, and Chevrolet something else, but obviously they wouldn't use real car brands. Year models?

How about not blocking off each island/city? I know it gives the incentive of completing missions, but possibly rid this, allowing full access, but give the incentive of unlocking nice, one-of-a-kind cars, big houses/mansions, entry to certain smaller areas, etc? I'm starting to get annoyed that there has to be a reason for the closure. Only GTA III pulled it off properly. San Andreas only gave a hint of the reason (CJ on parole), but blocking off each city wasn't warranted, they should have just left the wanted level part in.

In-car and first-person view? Please, please, please?!

Most things are fine, and improvements on things like graphics will be definitely expected, and included, though I don't mind the "GTA-style graphics", just improvements on little glitches would be nice. Saves space for additions to the game, too.

GTA:III has been the only GTA so far with a decent storyline. The excuses they keep coming up with to block off cities is getting lamer by the game. Also, it's quite annoying how each city is on a seperate island. Look at an atlas and you'll see that not every town in seperated by great big rivers and bridges.

I really like the sneaking around feature, I just wished there where more places to use it, cause I think the people in the police station in SF are sick of getting their impounded cars stolen.

I think it should be set in 1550 Mogolia, and the main character should be Tiffany Teen.

I'ts more than likely that the next game will be set in London, as that is the only city not to have been done twice. But then again competition from The Getaway may effect this.

With Next door Nikki being a bonus character.

What does everybody want to see in the next GTA? Where should it be set? What time period?

Well i dont mind where its set or time period but on the motorway cars keep switching lanes without warning and damage my cars. I find it really annoying so in the next GTA i would like to see more observant drivers and indicators!!!!:ouch:

Smarter AI. I mean in all the GTA games you can be walking around with an AK47 or a rocket launcher and everyone carries on like its nothing. I mean in real life, wouldn't you somewhat react differently if you saw someone with a rocket launcher walking towards you? Also the way the ai drive seems so artificial unless they are shot at. When they drive they seem to be on a set trail and change lanes randomly. Thats hell on the highway when they change lanes without warning. Lets have some turn signals here! I agree the reasons why the cities are blocked off are getting lamer by the game. In liberty city stories, its because all the workers are on strike, c'mon thats bull. It should be a wide open city where you don't need to unlock different area's of a city. It just seems so cheesy. I'd also like some new weather effects besides the basic rain, overcast and fog. We need to have all four seasons of weather (well, depending where it's set.) In liberty city stories snow was programmed into the game but rockstar left it out. To access it you had to reach level 9 of the car salesman levels and only level 9 would it snow. After that it would never snow again. I'd love to see snow accumulate on the ground in the next GTA, and then seeing snowplows driving around. Heck, it'd be even cooler to have the enxt GTA sync into the dat/clock thing on the ps2 so it would snow according to the date. Plus imagine if the city changed its look during seasons, like during autumn the tree leaves would turn yellow and orange and die off. During the winter months the city could be decorated in christmas lights. Well thats all I could think of for now, what do you guys think?
