Also, who else has played this game demo or more? I'm looking to find anyone who found the control comfortable...lol...I tried playing it again tonight, and I got a *tad* more used to it, but I still can't enjoy it as much as I could if the control was tighter. It feels too arcade, with a dash of simulation thrown in...it kills it for me.
I'm enjoying it with my DFP, I wasn't expeting it to control like GT4, but it's better than NFS:U or NFS:U2 control wise imo, far better. The cars feel like they have weight to them now instead of feeling like they could jump 100 feet coming of a small ramp or slide continuously for the rest of the day. It's harder to drift, but I prefer that it means you don't drift when you don't want to and when you do drift it's more rewarding, still not hard to do, but harder than NFS:U.

eh, performance > namebrand for me.

Boxters are crappy. a FairladyZ, M3, S200, even the Skyline V-Spec, all run over a Porsche Boxter S.

There are good porsches, and bad ones. But for the price of all of them, none of these cars should come close to competing.

They are overpriced, overated cars for people who don't know how to drive so they buy these cars thinking that the name gives them status.

Porshce sucks the big one.

Porshes are cheap ferraris once you get to turbo models and above. And then theres the CGT. And a porsche boxster S has 280 hp. On a twisty course it will eat a skyline and fairlady and It would beat all the other cars you mentioned aswell.

A stock Boxster S will never touch a stock R34 GT-R on any kind of road or track, it won't beat an M3 ether, don't know about the Fairlady Z. The Skyline handles superb, remember that, it's more powerful than the Boxster S by about 50Bhp and is faster in acceleration and top speed as well.

Isnt the boxster S have a faster nurburing time than the r34?. The only car it wouldnt beat would be the M3 and maybe the skyline. I just think I saw it listed above it on nurb lap times. The fairlady however is poo. A s200 would probably ebat it around the ring.

We also have to remeber the skylines high cebtre of gravity.

If you can list the Boxster S's time and R34 GT-R's times round the ring it would be great cos the latset GT-R's time I can see recorded round the ring was an R33 GT-R which did 7'59 which is faster than the Porsche Cayman S which will no doubt be faster than the Boxster S. I have read of an 8'11 lap done in the R34 but I can only conclude that it wasn't professional lap since the R34 GT-R is better than the R33 GT-R in every way performance wise. Even the 8'11 is as fast as the Cayman S though which before you say anything was driven by a certain Walter Roehrl.

Also the Skyline may have a higher center of gravity than the Boxster but it still manages to corner exeptionally well largly due to the superb ATESSA sytem Nissan used in it.

The standard Boxster has a record lap round the Ring of 8'32.

OH boy another thread is going to be screwed because someone mentioned the word "Skyline" Who cares. The Ford Pinto with an estimated 10hp owns all.

You're thinking A3, brotha.. :)Wow you got some high standards if you think the controls are very sloppy. Juiced = very sloppy. SRS = very sloppy. I dont know about even the NFSMW demo being nearly as bad as those two but like you said, thats just your personal opinion.

True, however, out of any arcade racer, which NFS will always be, I expect repsonse.

It just makes me upset to hop in a BMW and know that it handles just like a Civic, they simply gave it RWD properties and make it fishtail. It's just weak to me. Poorly implemented.

If you haven't played Burnout 3, or Burnout Revenge, then you won't understand what I'm talking about, but it's superior in control...and fun factor as well. Without the rice factor too.

He's always got high standards. He's a whiney *****.

Now he'll just laugh at this post and say more of his crap that makes no sense.

Call me picky, but $50 is a lot to spend on a game that is poorly executed. Waste your parents money if you want blackbird (at 14 years old, you should start learning these lessons early, money is a valualbe thing).

If you can spend the same amount of money on a game that's more satisfying without the unnecessary bells and whistles, then do it, but this game is defineately not worth the $50 from what I played.

The series is going down hill very fast, and simply churning out sequels to make money off of the masses.

Well thats fair enough as your opinion, I think this plays far better than both the NFS:U games. Each to their own at the end of the day.

I have another question.

They have this one
http://news.softpedia.com/images//news2/Need-for-Speed-Most-Wanted-Black-Edition-2.jpg

and they have this one
http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/01/46/33/14/0001463314821_500X500.jpg

If I got the Black edition. will it still have the cars that Most wanted will have, or just the special edition cars?? does anyone know.

what exactly is the difference
That black edition is probably like collectors edition with a special DVD in it, but we will just have to see.

The thing I really like about Most Wanted, is it feel less PC like game, lol!

^^^^^^Sorry bout that if you luv your PC, the control is more lively than most game I've tried so far.

edited: Oh man, I'm in the PS2 thread, lol! Oh well...
I tried the demo on PC, anyway, how's the framerate on the PS2 version?

The Black edition has extra's, nothing get's replaced all the standard game stuff is still there, it has a bonus DVD, extra cars, some specially tuned cars and a few extra races to enter.

I finally played it last night after several download atempts on stretched servers and I have to say im dissapointed. Whats going on with the stinking graphics. Ive downloaded free games that have better graphics. Is it just me that things the graphics suck and the gameplay is kinda a step backwards from NFS:U series and the need for speed before the undersound series which I also owned. I was annoyed at how the cayman handled so I wont buy this game. I'll porobably download it if i can find it somewhere or just get my mommy to get it for me as a stocking filler.

And to describe the NFS series: My sister likes playing them.

Uusally she playes anime and final fanstasy and dead or alive type games. :yuck:

I really really think if you don't have burnout revenge...you shoudl get it instead...seriously this game is no where near what that is.

you're basically paying for NFSU with cops in it. it's still control's very poorly. despite the NFS series, Burnout > this game and NFSU games.

It's not worth the money...IMO.

i have undergrounf 1 and 2 and i loved them, the problem was the choice of cars, and now you can get better cars like porschers is great! can you put spoilers on cars like the porsche and lamboghini's?

Yes you can kit up all the cars, by how much I don't know but theres a kitted up Porsche Cayman in the demo and a kitted Viper.

The graphics are better than the last games, must be your PC. If the PC's not up to much get the console version.

I am leaving work early in 3 hours and will be picking this up on the way home. :) I could have picked it up at lunch but I will just wait.

so does this mean you can put spoilers on the lambo and mclaren? thats a lot better than the other game. i want to know something else as well, a subaru can be tuned to 500bhp, but a lambo has naturaly 500bhp, so wouldn't a tuned lambo be faster than everything else?

Im willing to give it a shot,

The things that bothered me most about NFSU 1 & 2:
Too many ricey cars, finally they have cars Im into in MW.
Its arcade gameplay made me forget how to play GT4 properly for a few laps, but since Im not playing GT4 anymore it doesnt matter, and Im looking for a new racing game.

I had the demo on NFSU2. It's crap, at least compared to the gameplay of the NFSU2 and I can imagine NFSMW being the same if not better.
