How To You Guys Rate Him????and How Do You Think Next Year Williams With The New Toyota Engine???:)

I like Nico personally, i think he has had torrid luck this season though the same as Webber. Hopefully the Toyota engines next year will be a bit of a boost for Williams, better reliabilty etc, the loss of Mark i think will affect the team hugely as i dont think Wurz is the real deal when it comes to a season of racing. Rosberg can only get better though and with better reliabilty and hopefully better speed i think he can show what he can do next season. Either that or the car wont like the engine and Williams will continue spiralling down and out..

If williams can Nico-proof the engine to let him run the way he did at bahrain, He'll be top class.

Although the car is partly to blame, we still have to remember that Nico is a rookie as has been prone to a few mistakes, such as at Canada where he collided with Montoya and at Hungary where he lost it in the wet.

Some race he has shone, Bahrain obviously but also at Silverstone I felt (I was there live) I saw him battle pretty hard and managed to finish ahead of Barrichello. then of course there was Turkey untill his engine decided to stab him in the back again.

All in all, he just needs to smooth out some rough edges, then he can be counted as a future champ. 👍

I think he's pretty good, but he still has a lot to learn, but of course he has time.

...Oh yeah, he needs to get a haircut.

Nothing wrong with his hair, hair doesn't make the driver lol.

Anyway, I'm a fan of Nico. He's already worthy of his Formula 1 drive and still has even more to learn. With a better car/engine under him next season, he'll be one to watch.

I agree, another strong young driver for the future. At this rate there will besome battles for the championship in a couple of years time, who fancies 4 or 5 way fights for the title with about the same number of teams???

Could you please turn your cap's lock off.

As for Nico I tihnk he's got plenty of potential to do well in a good car.

I can't really see 4 or 5 teams fighting for the title in the modern day F1, 3 is pushing it. As for the drivers, yes the future is looking awesome, Alonso vs Kimi vs Rosberg vs Hamilton vs Kubica vs Kovalinen... Woo!

Well i look at it this way:

Graham Hill - Damon hill world champion..
Gilles Villeneuve - Jaques Villeneuve world champion
Keke Rosberg - Nico Rosberg..champion?

Don't forget Bruno Senna.

I'm still undecided on Nico. His debut was spectacular (but he still finished behind his teammate) and I was caught up in the hype that went along with it. However, his performance in the rest of the season have been fairly unspectacular. He's been outqualified by Webber 11 times this year (out of 14 races). Yes, the Williamses are lacking reliability and speed but Nico hasn't looked like repeating his Bahrain performance at any other time this year. I'll wait until next year when hopefully his car and engine package is a bit more consistent before praising or condemning him.

Thats 6 drivers you have named there, even if they all pair up thats 3 teams. I can name at least 5 teams that could push for a championship title.

He has some tallent, and i bet he will make nice carrier in F1.
So for now he has followed his fathers footsteps nicely.

Though he is german ,we know his racing skills game from his Finnish father,Keke Rosberg(F1 World Champion)

Since im Finnish next season will be most entertaing, for me threre is three finnish drivers. And Two of them in top teams.

Even though one of your "Finns" can't speak Finnish? :dopey:

(The Finnish language is called Suomi, isn't it?)

Which pretty much describes his GP2 season. Once he got a hold of himself in GP2, he made Kovalainen look average. And on the basis that Kovalainen had until then looked awesome, you can see where it's going to go.

The trouble is that I can't see Williams pulling themselves out of these doldrums any time soon, and I think that by the time they do, it may be too late for Rosberg.

Who knows?, If they started racing F1 earlier in their careers.

IMHO neither were talented enough to really make it to the top of F1 (or even to finish consistently in good points positions). Fittipaldi started in F1 when he was just 22, so I don't know how he could have started much earlier. As for Andretti I don't think starting a couple of years earlier would have changed his F1 career much.
