That's odd, back when I was physically active in many sports I would average a 0.128 during my benchmark tests...
Am I superhuman?
No.
You're not superhuman. You were anticipating the stimuli you were reacting to.

Try pausing the game and tweaking the in game options menu, there's an option to make it brighter/darker as you wish.
It's hard to drive at night, more so in real life. Darkness gives you a bigger sense of speed. Much bigger...
Well, actually I have raced at tracks at night, pretty much to. With an M3 E46 CSL, modded almost like "loaded".. serch it on YT if you dont know that car. Its a swedish car tuned with a ESS supercharger in Norway.. I didnt think i need to bring it up to prove my point in my previous post.. but no i did! so GTFO with youre BS about Civics.. havent even driven one.. But the LP560-4.. Dont give me your crap internet BS.. try to stick to simple q and a and in some cases your opinion. But dont try to look all that on a freakin gamesight
I'm aware of the EV setting it doesn't really work the way I want. Need a gama adjustment instead
This guy has the right idea.
If anyone can react to someone doing an unexpected braking maneuver in 0.1 seconds, then they ARE superhuman.
It's just like a "3 2 1 Go" countdown does not simulate a reaction time because it is very predictable.
If you take iRacing's start, where the start is a random time from 4 to 7 seconds, it is a great indicator of the good from the average.
Are you guys serious? If anything Night is too bright. I have worked as a driver delivering car parts at night driving 600 km per night on regular roads. The only things that is not pitch black is snow and lights. Since there is no snow then it should ONLY be the headlight area that is visible and some other lights if there are any. In places where there are no lights and with a speed of about 60 mph / 100 kmph you should be able to see an obstacle (that does not reflect light) about 1,5 seconds before you hit it. Thats how it is.
I have good reaction time (about 0,1 seconds) and is quick to brake full when a deer stands on the road. I can still not brake to a full stop before i'm there and have to steer around it. Once a moose was standing in the ditch and I didn't see it until it was next to the car, it was like a quick flash right when I passed it. If you turn off the light when driving in dark you will not even see the white stripes in the road.
If you've never "outdriven" your lights, you've never actually driven fast enough.
At 150 you outdrive your lights pretty darn easily.
Are you saying that 150mph is the speed of light?
Pretty sure its 671,000,000mph...
Then use your TV's settings.
I think darkness is a problem in general. Some of the cockpit shadows make the cockpit instruments completely blacked out in sunny conditions. The shadows are too dark in my opinion. It kind of defeats the purpose to make the cockpit so detailed when you can't even read the dials in a lot of the cars when there are shadows on them.
One thing that helped me somewhat was going to the PS3 'Display' settings and turning the 'RGB Full Range' setting to 'OFF' (only applies to HDMI cables). This makes the blacks and shadow detail less dark without effecting the brightness of the general picture.
Have you ever tried driving 150 mph at night?
I've driven 60 on dark country roads with my high beams on, with nice headlights, and it's pretty hard to see. At 150 you outdrive your lights pretty darn easily.
I think it's realistic for the lights that these cars have, but we need to be able to upgrade the lights to make it easier to drive at speed in the dark.
Along with adjusting my TV's display settings, this helped me...

Ha! Totally true, I hated that race.See the night race on Toscana Tarmac in Lambo![]()
I can't honestly believe Kaz sat down to play GT5 on night courses and felt the lights in the cars were doing a realistic job of illluminating the landscape. And likewise with the street lamps....
It's way too dark!!
Even cranking up the EV doesn't help, it just makes the brighter areas brighter and more blown out
Must be some issue with GT5's lighting engine, or a design oversight.
In some instances, from cockpit view, facing an uphill road, you can't see anything at all! See the night race on Toscana Tarmac in Lambo
Plus the menus and garage scenes are also way too dark
A patch to fix is badly needed
Really ?
Skip to 12:00, looks very realistic to me.

Yeah thats what this game is missing. And its just that consistancy of such a high quality game that really set gt apart from other racing sims in the past.PzR SlimJust wish it was a rock solid consistent experience
