night-to-day transitions?

I've seen the day-to-night transition countless times, but I'm beginning to get worried that 24 hour races won't have night-back-to-day transitions. does anybody have any confirmations either way?

I could have sworn that someone mentioned that the 24 hour progression would be both. Wouldn't it be silly to just have one and not the other?

Ok I have a question related to time change as well.

In the track list I see that there are certain tracks listed with an indication that there will be time change on these tracks. Does this mean that you can only drive on these tracks with the time change on, or can you drive on these tracks with the time remaining the same?
