Anyone else have a particular 'nightmare corner'? One you only get just right about 1 in 20 at best?

I find the last corner on the Nurburgring GP track a pain.. not sure why, its not fast or technical but it gets me every time. Annoying as hell. That corner to me makes Suzuka Turn 1 braking and turning in from 170mph seem easy. Weird.

Anyone else got one of these 'weird' corners, or is it just me?!

You've misunderstood my post. I love turn 1 Suzuka and have no problems with it. Unlike the easy last turn on n'ring gp

in laguna seca there's a chicane when you're braking late you'll "fly" and then hit the black wall. It happens to me since GT2.

Not even a corner, but there's a slight bend in the Nordschleife (I think it's just past Flugplatz, around Schwedenkreuz) that I always take at too high speed --> I catch some grass and get off the track as a result.

I usually learn from my mistakes but something about that section tempts me to drive too fast and fail to see that bend coming. :dunce:

The fast left corner before the hard right, about a minute into a lap of the nurburgring, and the corners between the first and third tunnels on Deep Forest. Deep Forest is the worst for me -.-

I don't like turn one on the Nuburgring 24hr layout--the really tight, hard right, hard left. It's awful. It just doesn't flow and the lack of centrifugal forces on your body make getting this corner (in a virtual car) correctly, a real bother. I always feel like I'm going much too slowly when in fact, I'm going too quickly.

there is a corner half way round the ring (chicane kinda corner not long before the big loop) and EVERYtime i slide off and into the barrier!

Sounds like the 'dreaded' cork screw to me, but think there are worse out there

Would say my nightmare corner or bogey corner as I like to call it - Circuit de Sarthe after the Mulsanne straight, never realise I'm going that quick brake before the roundabout sign!, never have a problem with the chicanes that break up the straight though

Never good to be going into that one when racing online and you are at the front of 5 or so cars. Incoming!!

2 turn after the long straight on Nurburgring, not even a tight turn but I always come into it with too much speed and start 4 wheeling!

Exactly. I usually end up on the grass also. I usually lose a lot of time here.

Also, the second and third corner in the Nurburgring GP. I ALWAYS seem to go wide.

I always come off on the corner after the big straight on Circuit de Sarthe. I don't realise I am going as fast as I am and pretty much always crash.

And in the rain it's even worse... ;)

That little S-turn nearing the end of n'ring gp always gets me for some reason. The only thing that helps me occasionally is if I cut it through the grass.

Any corner in any configuration of Fuji.

Lol... yeah I thought about how all of those corners feel so unnatural and flow-breaking. I figure they're slightly better with a wheel and pedals, but with a stick they're all terrible and I can't take any of them smoothly. :dopey:

The Karussel sometimes gives me trouble in MR cars.

But my real trouble corner is the first chicane at Monza. Not because of the turn, but the braking before it. Either too late or too early. Those meter guides don't help me much... they seem to betray me everytime.

Corkscrew is never getting me...since I passed my license test with the R390 GT1 in GT2.

I agree with those 2nd gear corners in Fuji are a pain. But you sure get used to them during the 20-lap FGT event. I find corners in GP/F annoying too --- they are not very DS3 friendly. The ESSES in Suzuka is OK now after the 1000km event, but I still do not like the first corner when I drove FGT in Suzuka.(&the other one exactly like it. The last corner in Monza has the same pattern but the width is much wider & hence much more forgiving when you floor the gas too early)However for Group C cars it's the ESSES that's bothering me.
Also there is one blind corner in Nurburgring..like an uphill and a shallow left turn; very narrow road width makes you easy to spill the grass & spinout/lose rhythm. The worst one for me is probably Deep Forest Runway where I always hit the mountain (well, 4 outta 10 times I probably will). You know which corner I meant.

The corkscrew chicane on Laguna Seca was difficult for a while because of the rise before entering.

As dumb as it sounds, the first chicane on Monza gets me, I can't ever seem to execute it perfectly.

I tend to have problems with the final few turns at Fuji, starting from the 13th Corner, then through the Netz and Panasonic Corners. I especially don't like the final turn.
