Getting amped up for "Rush" to come out, I been checking out some Niki Lauda videos (One of F1's greatest drivers of yesteryear. portrayed in the movie) I stumbled across this oldie but goodie :D If you guys didn't know, Niki Lauda had the accident in 76 that ended F1 racing on the Nordschleife and it looks like the Nurb is going to be well featured in the Movie, from what I've seen the track shots are superb, even the recreation of the accident is very well done, you will recognize Lauda Links as well as a few other track locations.

Awesome shots of the Nurb & The last race held on the Nordschleife, telling the tale of the Hunt Lauda battle, and the season of 76.

The video is an old school take on F1 cars and its something that's been repeated a few times (F1 vs a couple road cars) Niki explains the importance of a balanced set up & how he adjust the brake balance on his F1 car for any track. He is able to adjust the BB while driving, hone it in for real time conditions. He also goes over the aerodynamics revolutions that took place in the 60's and 70's with wings and ground effects. Its just a great video for anybody into racing and car.

I think the part on tuning brakes will answer the question "How do I tune my brakes balance" Please keep in mind trail braking is a braking technique and not a set up style ;) we are only talking about tuning the brake balance.

We can adjust the Brake Balance while driving in GT5 with the HAT controls, I have it on the DFGT with a convenient dial and dedicated buttons, but I even have the controls mapped to my DS3 so I can make the adjustments while driving without pulling the Wheel out (I don't use it all the time) every car needs the balance adjusted to run with the ABS turned off. ABS is an assist not allowed in most if not all real racing and shouldn't be seen on any race track.

Oddly the Brake pedal on my DFGT needs to be calibrated every time I run the game, this simply means when I start my first race of the gaming session I have to start the race and press the brake pedal all the way to the floor before it recognizes the full travel of the pedal. If I were to stop pressing the pedal half way down, then the point I stopped becomes my 100% input point until I press the pedal further or all the way to maximum travel. Its important to do this otherwise the brakes may seem to lock up with much too little input on the brake pedal.

Enjoy the Videos and tips from one of the greatest drivers in F1

i had no idea this movie was coming out! super keen! I bet my misses is totally keen to see it too!.................. :D

Glad to spread the word, looks to be good and the "Ring is practically a character in the movie, thats pretty sweet to see it come to life.

I saw the preview for it at my local Cinema while watching "Gatsby" and thought " I cannot wait for that to come out."
