Thanks man!

So this may be a dumb/obvious question and answer, but when I get and mount my fuel cell, should the main driver cabin be separated from the cell if it's located in the trunk? Since my car is stripped down, I figured I'd mount it where the spare tire was located, should I put like a ventilated piece of aluminum or something where the rear seat was?

I'm pretty sure you have to have the drivers cabin separate from the the fuel system. When my brother and I put a surge tank system into his SR20DE powered KP61 Toyota Starlet I built an aluminium cover for the spare wheel well with a rubber seal around the base and screwed it down.

This car is a hatch back so never had the ability to seal of the boot with the back seats. You car appears to be similar.

Oh cool, thanks! I know it wouldn't be easy to seal it, but I figured there were ways if needed. But that looks pretty simple though, hopefully it goes smooth here.

My current tanks leaks, and instead of getting a normal old tank, why not get a fuel cell?

Because they are generally a lot smaller and you will raise your center of gravity. Plus you would have to do extra work to your fuel lines, wires, fuel pump and other bits. Wouldn't it be easier to replace the tank with another one from the same car? What part is leaking? The tank itself or the fittings?

Exactly.

Not too sure what's leaking, all I know is, is that it's near the top. I mean yea, I can just replace it, but fuel cells are cool! Plus my fuel lines are already shot, so I need to do them either way. Seems like I could just do a whole new custom set up since I have to drop the tank and tear up the lines anyway.

Only 3 hoses go to the top of the tank. Feed, return, and vent. Pretty easy to get to the in-tank pump assembly and take a gander if any of those soft hoses are leaking. Which fuel lines are "shot?"

On track cars.

I dunno, I'd just get a fuel tank. Plus it's probably not the tank leaking, and rather the o-ring around the fuel pump. Let me guess, you're getting fuel dripping from the right rear of the car? You've likely just got some kind of vent or emissions deal clogged.

So I'm back! Not really much changed on the car. I took the rear bumper off, because Rocket Bunny, and I painted the front bumper white. I only did that because it was so worn that it was partially yellow plastic. But my main goal is really to get it repainted its current color, and someday get a fully built KA24DE. And maybe some day supercharge it for fun.

Wow. It's different, and I'm absolutely in love with it.👍

How the heck did I miss how sick this car is. I really like the painted tires. Adds a unique muscle look o your car for sure. 👍

I agree.

Thanks! Most people do the drift or stance route with 240s, so I decided to mix all the things together I like. A little hot rod, little drift, stance, rat rod and whatever else I thought. It's fun to mess around with.

Thank you! I wanted it to be different and I'm pretty happy with it. But there's still a lot to be done!

I knew there was a 240 missing in the forum  good to have it back

Haha I know, I've been gone for awhile. A bunch of things took me away from here and I always forgot to log back on. But I finally did, and I'll try to hang around for awhile longer!

Welcome back man, I echo @motortrend, great to have you back. 👍

It's good to see old faces, or errm, names! I missed this site and all the good people!

Nice car!

But why Finland's flag on the fuel tank door?

Thanks! And the only real reason I can give is, I have a weird obsession with Finland and I really want to go there. So One day I decided to paint (a terrible) flag on the gas door. Other than that, there's no reason at all haha.

So early this year my friend gave me a KA24DE he had. I really had no room but it was free, with the transmission so I took it. Eventually I want to rebuild it and swap it in.

Some more photos of the 510. If there's any Datsun pros out there, we don't know much about the motor. It's swapped to a 1.8 out of pick up I think he said. High compression heads, Weber carb and a cam. That's what he said he's done to it.

One of my dream cars, absolutely love it. What are the plans?

Not too sure really. It was an impulse buy really. For now we're just going to get it back up and running to the point where we can use it as a daily. After that, we're not too sure.

So we're still getting the brake on the 510 all sorted, just need to bleed them, and we're waiting on a new hub for the 240. But there's another problem, Craigslist. I look on Craigslist almost everyday for cars that are older than 1989. That's how I found the 510. I found another old Nissan I want last night. I have no room for it, but we're looking at storage for the cars we have. So why not throw another car on the list, right? The ad says it needs a master cylinder and that it ran when parked. That's a little worrying to me, but the 510 said that too and it started right up. What should I do?

A 1967 Nissan Patrol for $2,500.

I'd buy it because it's cool and unique. Plus you could do this to it:
