do you mean the red ring/pin sticking out of the hood on the left side near the windshield?

well....i don't see it being a hood pin, cuz the JGTC GT-R's have those near the headlights....actually thats a good question! what the heck IS it?

:D My guess is it's the "Tow Ring" (normally mounted lower & in front of the car) where a strap can be attiched to move the car around in the pits etc...UB57
:D

Here is a pic. Do you mean the thing near the bottom of the second E in ZEXEL.

:O :O Thanx meeekael : was so busy scoping out a shot I'd never seen before (we DON"T have GTC here) that I didn't see the BIG LOGO in the corner:O :O ...UB57

I just re-read that post and it sounded abit rude....sorry...it was supposed to be sarcastic but it didnt sound like that....

lol

Thanx gumpy :
:D I've heard that the "Playability" isn't the best but I'd still like to be able to drive GTC. Have NO CLUE why they didn't make it available for NTSC. Thanx again...UB57

:D

I have heard rumors about a Tokyo-Geneva-Detroit and when I first heard them I thought bollocks.

But at the start of GTC in the video it has Detroit, Tokyo and Geneva on a map. I assume some of the American cars are from a Detroit Motor Show. I would also be surprised if the car manufacturers like Chev etc would put their cars in the game if it wasn't going to be released in the Americas.

Has anyone tried contacing Polyphony and asking them straight is GTC coming to America ?

As far as playability goes I wouldn't go that far.

It is a great game just short.

But what I like about it (I am only at 80-ish%) is that you are encouraged to get gold on the licenses and they are possible (although I have not done the rallies yet though). Also you are encouraged to try different cars as the AI field changes as you change. eg I won a race in the Jazz, Mini, Mazda 6. I actually find it harder to win with the quicker cars. This is on the tarmac. On the rallies I used the GTR and wallrode.

To me the concept is great but it needs more tracks and the Ace mode should count towards %.

:D I'd like to drive some different cars but mostly am interested in the "Missing" tracks that were in GT2 & aren't in GT3. I even bought GT2 recently just to check out the OTHER tracks, but only found one. They have to be un-locked & although I can PLAY the game on my PS2 I CANNOT save my progress!!! Guess I'll try to sell it on e-Bay, only had it in the machine for about an hour!!! Thanx...UB57
:D

You'd be able to find a PSOne mem card for about $5 over there surely.

When the kids play they have a PS2 card in slot 1 and a PSOne card in slot 2.

We have 2 main PSOne cards in Australia. The genuine one is $20AUD and a cheaper brand for about $10AUD.

If not $5USD then you should be able to get one for less than $10USD.

WOW, Thanx Again gumpy:
:D Yes they're "Way Cheap" here, but I had No Idea that they'd work in my PS2!!! Will try it 'cause I started on GT3 & would like to see "Autumn Ring", "Rome Nite" etc, etc. just to satisfy my curiosity!!!...UB57
:D

darn....i miss rome night.....although there wasn't a single race in GT2 that raced on that track, aint that odd? the ONLY TIME you ever saw that track, EVER, was once in the liscence tests, and if you used the event generator......

THE EVENT GENERATOR! i knew there was something i really missed about GT2! that was a KILLER way to keep playing that game! races were always tight if you set it to professional mode.....:( oh man they left out some of the best parts of GT2 when they made GT3.....the event gen, and race mods alike...both are sadly missed.

I'm quite sure it's a towing ring, as these are also on the back right of the JGTC cars...(having a JGTC model helps finding out all this :D)

:( You're making me cry :(

It was a sad thing that PD left out this two amazing things from GT3 , as well as the number of cars in GT2 ( muscle cars ! ) that were way more than the ones in GT3 . Let's hope PD sorts things out for GT4 *pray*

It wouldn't be a towing hook - it would be a bonnet pin (to stop the bonnet flying up at speed), and there would be a matching on the other side of the bonnet.

Aren't they located closer to the front bumper though vat? The Hook thingos should be closer to the bumper...because the bumper would only stop halfway up if the thing is that far back, wouldn't it?

Not necessarily - there could be multiple hooks, ie two or 3 at the front, and two on either side of the bonnet near the windshield to hold down the back of the bonnet.

I thought there was only two....at the front...at the most.

yeah but this is in the centre of the bonnet never heard of that one before
only one thing to say to the Americans re.GTC ha ha ha
i have a copy and you dont (j/k) :p

Oh...and i just love that RX8 LM Edition :)
