I no longer own my 1992 Nissan 180sx SR20DET (RPS13) it has been replaced with a 1995 Nissan Skyline GTS25T series 1.5 RB25DET (ECR33)
gone are my drifting days now im in my hill runs and drag racing days.

Damn I love RB's (Nissan RB series engines).

It means he has seen the light and sold this:

to get this:

👍 post pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the future, why dont you post names when referring to cars instead of their chassis designation. It makes like a lot easier. Or, when you have to to distinguish between certain generations, post the maker of the car. E30...while very recognizable, is even more recognizable when it's E30 BMW 3-series.

because the chassis code tells you what the cars is (eg, engine, turbo etc)

otherwise i have to say
i sold my 1992 Nissan 180sx SR20DET and got a 1995 Nissan Skyline GTS25T M spec series 1.5 RB25DET

im sorry :( if people got confused, its just alot of people know these codes and i am so used to talking about Japanese cars by there chassis codes (makes it easier when you learn them)

i dont have pics ATM because i dont have a digi cam, but a friend does so sometime i will get them and post them up here:)

A lot of people don't. Even people who like the car.

I drive an E36/4 S52B32-US with a WBS vin.

Unless you're particularly geeky about BMWs, you wouldn't garner that its a 4 door US Spec M3 with a 3.2 liter engine, manual 5 speed, built at the BMW Motorsport Garching plant in Germany.

Nice Skyline, btw. 👍

///M-Spec

thanx

just took my R33 (skyline) for a hill run last night, man it handles great.
my mate in his 180sx with lowered stiffened suspension couldnt shake me, i was right behind him close the whole time and we were going VERY fast (my suspension is stock exept 255 rear 235 front tyres)
had some oversteer probs on second gear corners though, had to be abit carefull.
ive had a few drag races aswell so far i have beaten:

R34 GTT skyline (nissan)
MY03 WRX STI (rolling start) (subaru)
series III FB RX7 turbo (mazda)
series IV FC RX7 turbo (mazda)
Holden VT Commodore Gen III V8 (LSI chev engine)
HR31 skyline (nissan)
and a few other older V8 Commodores and a honda prelude

I have lost to a Mitsubishi scorpion with a worked SR20DET engine conversion

overall i like this car way better than my 180sx (more room, more off boost torque and chicks love it)
straight line performance with my mates 180sx (SR20DET) is fairly even, he has full HKS 3inch exhaust, HKS pod filter and running 0.8bar (12psi) and i have 4inch stainless steel RS*R cat back exhaust, HKS shielded pod filter and running stock boost (5psi <4500 and 7psi > 4500)
my 180Kph (111Mph) limiter seems to be disabled because i was well over 200Kph (125mph+) at times (couldnt tell exactly how fast because speedo only goes to 180kph)

I'm not sure if the GTS25T has a boost restrictor or not but if it does take it out and have some more free horsepower!

It's near the wastegate solenoid on the right side of the engine compartment (left side when looking from the front) It is located on the exit line of the factory boost control solinoid, which is mounted to the right hand strut tower. You will feel the restrictor in the exit hose. pull/push it out and you're done! Without the restrictor it will run constant .9 bar without a controller. The control soliniod is about 3 1/2inches tall and about 1 1/2 inches in diameter (cylindrical).

tell me if it's there or not :)

nah mine hasnt got it, the R32 GTR has this brass restrictor in the line. doesnt matter though i will take out the two stage (stock) soleniod and repace it with a bleeder valve for now, i wouldnt want to run any than .8 bar for now because the weakness of the ceramic turbines

i am looking into getting a big FMIC (front mount intercooler), apexi power FC (fully tunable ECU), HKS GT25-30 turbo (internal wastegate, this is a bolt on turbo), GTR fuel pump, adjustable fuel regulator, stainless 3inch dump pipe (turbo - cat), adjustable cam gears and a better blow off valve (because the stocky leaks, dont care about noise)
these parts should see me easily and realiably to 250-300rwkw (rear wheel kilowatts) = 335-402rwhp or roughly 500Hp at the flywheel

here is razorGTR's setup :)

1992 Nissan Skyline GTR:
Current mods done:
Custom 600x300x100 (23.6"x11.8"x4") front mount I/C
Trust Racing Stainless downpipes 2 1/4"
Trust Power Extreme 3 3/4 Stainless exhaust
Greedy Profec B boost controller
Custom Chipped ECU
1 kg of boost (14.8psi)
2400lb single plate paddle clutch.
Best current time 11.82 @ 112mph Full street trim including spare wheel and all tools full interior.
launching at 7,000 rpms

thecar is making 363 hp at all four wheels.

Nice to see u kept with the nissans, my bro did a similar change to u, except he went from a S15 200sx to a R34 GT-T (the for doing so was he crashed his S15 and wanted something new and nissan)

skylineGTR_guy do you know his 60ft time??

with the mods i have planned i will get in the 12's fairly easy, it would do 11's but i will have traction probs

i have some good 17inch 255 rears now and have traction probs in 1st and 2nd (and chirp 3rd when going hard)

If u get a good suspenion kit that should help u get a bit of traction, try putting could quality Japanese brands like tein blisten hks etc.

yeah i was thinking of doing that, for now i might just get some pineapples(bushes for the diff cradle) to help reduce wheel spin (if set correctly), they seem to work well for others

nice, these are the type of power figures im lookin at (after mods), maybe alittle more

Isn't the R33 GT25T at rear-driver?

Only other thing: does it have the electronic aids the GTRs have?

777Nm from a R33 is (enter expletive here) incredible!

yes the GTS25T is rear wheel drive, thats why i will/do have the traction probs
my GTS25T id the M spec model which includes HICAS (nissans way of saying 4 wheel steering, only for better high speed cornering not a parking aid)
the GTR has SUPER HICAS a slightly upgraded version and it also has the ATTESA 4WD system that mine doesnt.
there isnt much more difference when it comes to electronic aids (i also dont have ABS although it is a option)

How strong is the stock propshaft? I can see some expensive crunch noices if you tune it much.

With 500bhp at the crank, I guess you're looking 0-62mph(100km/h)= <4.2secs and about 160mph top speed.

Has it got an LSD, and are you going to uprate it if it has?

Are you looking for new springs/ dampers too?

the R33 skyline GTS25T has a very strong drive train (VERY), there is a 10sec(1/4 mile) skyline using a stock diff(they are LSD BTW) and propshaft. the RB25 manual gearbox is very very strong also there are many 500+hp skylines using a stock box gettin around without a prob (RB20 boxes arnt so strong).
skylines are very easy to juice power from the only main prob is traction (on RWD's)
this is why i will change my suspension and bushes and probably get wider tyres
a almost stock R33 GTS25T (minus speed limiter) reached 253kph (157mph) already so if the gears are long enough 160mph wont be a prob (ive had mine at about 210-220kph (about 135mph) still in 4th and she still wanted to keep going). if i can get traction 4.2sec wont be a problem at all

im wondering what is limiting the Japanese imports to the US?
