What is the 350Z? Is it a prize-only car, or can you buy it?

Neon I think it is a prize car from one of the series races in the amatuer league races. the prize list will have it.

Thanks; I was looking for a description or a screen shot. It's not listed on the GT3 official site. I'll poke around some more.

Hey duke,
The "350Z" is the Nissan Z Concept. You can't buy it from the dealership on the game, but you can win it in the Amateur GT World Championship series.

Here's a screenshot from the ultimate prize list on the GTP home page.

Thanks for clearing that up! But why would I to spend that kind of money on a car that's "just allright"?
:smilewink

I suspect the actual car is better than 'just alright' compared to most other stock $30K cars out there.

In GT3-land, its just not the fastest, best handling choice.

Thing is, I can't remember the last time I saw a $30K Viper, Vette, or JGTC car drive down my street, either. :p

I will have to go against the field here... I think it is a fabulous "driver's car"... It's similiar in demeanor to the Miata-- You can't really force it into oversteer and it ain't light, but oh boy oh boy, once you get your brake points right and the snout pointed in the right direction, it'll fly. This car lacks what many people can get more of in its class-- Raw straight-line speed. But what it loses in the straights, in more than makes up for them in the twisties. I've yet to see another car in its price (real life) and power bracket that can go through corners as fast as this little jewel. The trick is to do about 80% of your braking in a straight line, then corner and lightly apply the brakes to get it into a psuedo-drift, then to mash the accelerator. Granted, if not driven correctly, it'll understeer like a pig, and I've got to admit that it's tire wear isn't the best... but nonetheless, it's an awesome car for the experienced, and a blast to learn to drive. :)

(One note: The Z, no matter what, will always understeer like a pig if the ASM isn't set to 0 or 1... any higher, and it pushes way too much to be of any use whatsoever.)

You said it youth_cycler!

The only track I have run the Z Concept on is Apricot Hill (I and II). I figured that after driving the Roadster Endurance, I had the brake/turn/accel points down for a car like this at Apricot Hill. It does quite handle like the Miata, doesn't it?

You've hit the nail on the head with your technique for this "driver's car".

And the :nissan: Z is going into production :smilewink

Does anybody know if the Z Race Car in GTC will be produced and entered into any races in the future? :D
