hey guys I think the best car might be the silvia 240rs (s110)`83 its much lighter and has better power to weight ratio

Thanks for the awesome tune again, shaunm80.

I ran it with a bit negative camber in the rear and it was perfect.

No worries. Glad it helped. The Silvia is a pretty good drift car, I like the responsiveness of it.

After completing the Corvette and 4WD seasonals, found this quite easy to Gold.
(I am not great at tuning nor drifting, got 6,600 after a couple of runs)

Here is how: (hope it is useful for someone!)
Used a Silvia S15 Aero '02.

Tuned the suspension, lowering the front, raising the rear by 10mm each
Rear anti roll bar to 1
rear camber to 5.0
and changed the tyres to CM

FYI...these are "repeatable".

Step 1...
Drift, get the Gold, get paid.

Step 2...
Back all the way out to main menu, go back to Seasonal Event, re-attempt.

Step 3...
Drive straight through, get less than the Bronze award.

Step 4...
Back out, and Repeat Step 1...

Step 5...
Repeat Step 2 and so on and so forth....

I just gave another shot with this and got 23386.
I used Silvia K's (S13) 91 this time :)

Didn't realise the event was repeatable, good to know

I suppose it is a "glitch", but I think of it as PDI encouraging us to Drift. I've actually gotten decent at it with the Silvia. I score 10,000+ at will now. The 250,000 credits each time are just a bonus. :sly: 👍

The Silvia is a great platform and Suzuka is a great track for drifting, I much prefer this one to the Corvette at Daytona event. I only did this one once because I was short on time but I think I got 9000+ in my S14, might go back and see what I can do with a bit more practice.

Didn't know that. Excellent way to grind some cash. Great 👍.

Presently at 17.9xx. Will try to get into the 18's. Not very popular this drifting.

It's surely got to be a glitch, the same trick can be done with the Corvettes @ Daytona too.

I'm sure PD are already in the know and presently in the process of putting a swift end to it soon, with a nippy little ninja update. 👍

Yep...only works for the Drift Trials. For grins I tried this on a Time Trial and it does not work. Not that it would be very productive anyway since it would take more time, but I wanted to try in case.

I'm up to 23 million now. I hope to get to 30 before they nix it.

This gave me the incentive to go back and increase my drift score. I am now richer and currently have a drift score of 11249.

It kind of gave me motivation to try getting back to top 100. But I won't be going all the way back out from the event after every attempt. Once per hour should be enough. If I just could be able to get the best sectionscores in the same lap. My theoretical best is 22-23k...my actual best is around 17-18 :banghead:

I need the credits so I am having a few hours of grinding this event to help me out in the game. I prefer grinding this to the Red Bull races. At least I can achieve something in this event. my theoretical best is about 14-14.5k but I'm stuck on 11,992 now. Not bad for me really if I'm honest,

Points are nothing, drifting is more than points.

I'm happy to see some Drifting in seasonal events this mean that PD know there is drifter in Gt but in other hand I don't like the fact that this discipline is reduce to points.
Drifting is more about angle, nice entry, e-brake, proximity to walls and tandem and note at all about points.
Also with this point system, the discipline become a lot more individualist and IMO drifting is a team work.

If there is some of you who wanted to practice drifting and just care about fun and not about points please add me ;) !!

I agree with the sentiment completely but I don't think its worth getting wound up or righteous about.
There isn't really a better way to quantify ability in these events than points. Judging by the more realistic criteria you suggest is impossible without a human judge. A computer can't tell what a nice entry is, it doesn't understand style, it won't give you extra props for using a difficult car or running a unique line.
Personally I'm glad that they included drift events, hopefully it will get more people into trying new things and different driving disciplines. Learning to drift a car can improve your grip racing ability quite substantially, if you are confident and experienced with a car when it is well beyond its limits then you can run much closer to those limits without fear when driving normally.

I agree with your view on it. Very well put.
