I like stanced cars, but just like pretty much everything, there is a limit... and some of the pics here are obviously over that limit...

Stupid amounts of unsafe camber != stance.

People really get way to bent out of shape over how someone else modifies their car needs a new hobby or something. As I've said before we are all car people doing it for the same reason.

Although if I ever strike it rich I'm going to buy really desirable cars and modify them in ways that will make "purist fanboys'" heads pop off.
 
I like it up to a certain point. Anything over 5 degrees is way to much.

There is a difference between having stance, and way to much camber. It is mostly the VIP style of cars having a lot more camber then needed. :yuck:

Sounds like you need to meet more people, or consider the fact not everyone shares your taste :rolleyes:

Stance is fine for the most part, the oni-camber madness is nothing new, just the internet has made us more aware of it. Frankly, there are a lot of gorgeous cars over at Stance Works.

BosoZoku has been going as long as any other car scene, longer than the stance scene.

And because of its age it just got taken further and further till you get that.

Now the west has started copying some bits of it for other scenes.

Positive camber looks cool to me, negative is the opposite! I don't like it. ONLY on race cars is it acceptable, good looking, (Or of any use for that matter).

^That's a fairly tasteless body kit, especially with those rims.

I agree with the majority here, a bit of camber (positive or negative) looks good, but more than 2 or 3 degrees looks bad. I love a well stanced car, though.
 
I think, in tiny quantities, camber can be used effectively. If it's visibly noticable, then its obviously made for drifting, which I don't really care for.

Drifters, might say 'yes more than a little, but less than that' and I think, for a drift car, that's acceptable. Otherwise, using it on the road, as JC would say 'they should be shot'.

Some racecars have easily more than 3 degrees though

I think it would be safe to conclude from this comment that you're not very educated on the topic of modifying a car.

Practically every car nowadays comes with a bit of negative camber and it is widely known that having negative camber is an advantage for cornering (to a certain extent.) But since you only like cars with NO camber (0 degrees/vertical), I guess you only like cars with front and rear solid axles such as trucks and heavy construction equipment.

Are you talking about the VIP camber thing or negative camber in cars overall? If you mean the VIP camber thing than that's been around since the late 90s with slammed VIP cars having lots of negative camber. Then another sub-genre of it broke off with the whole crazy camber thing. Will probably be around for a while just like the VIP and Yanky Style cars.

I would also like to mention, on those drift cars with crazy camber on the front wheels, it's not a "oh it's a drift cars, it's just another flashy thing they do for looks."

No, it's done for a reason.

For example (easily 7-10 degrees of negative camber):

Basically driving on the sidewall of the front tires with nearly no control over the front end.
