No Weekly Patch? No Monthly Patch Now Either?

First Kaz says we will get weekly patches to improve upon the unfinished GT5, What has happened? Hasnt it been around 5 weeks since the last patch to fix this game?

When is the next patch coming? And why say the game will get patched weekly if they have no intention of doing just that? Was it purely PR ********?
 
Better info on when we can expect to get new patches would be nice. It sucks to be left in the dark, and wonder every time we get a patch if it's the last one, or how long it will be before we even hear anything about another one. They should let us know what the plans are, what they're working on fixing on the next patch, and when we can expect to see it. EVERY UPDATE.

They could give up dates...but then we could deal with the rage of the community when they cant meat that date for whatever reason since frankly most of the public is unreasonable and if ther eis a delay..say to a massive bug they are up in arms.
 
They'll delay updates just like they did with the game itself.

You must not check the "NEWS" section of this site often! Don't you see the news of the Version 1.06 coming out in early February! It enables you to play B Spec events from your PC or mobile device!

Also Kaz never did mention anything about weekly patches, he said approximatively monthly patches! Plus you should be grateful we're even getting updates and patches like these! Most games get launched and never even get any updates of patches!
 
I think they're all still smashed on acid as they must have been when they were making this game in the first place. Useless!
 
Don't get your panties in a wad. It was never said thar gran turismo anywhere would be the only thing released. That can't be the only thing they've done the past 5 weeks.

I think PD should be greatful they have so many die hard fans who are willing to excuse faults in hopes of updates... after all many games don't get patches because many games don't release after a 5 year dev cycle missing things written on the box and with so many problems/dissapointments.

Well GT5 itself took 5 years so I'd say it's entirely possible.

Then the next 5 weeks will be spent patching Gran Turismo Anywhere
 
They've done weekly updates. They added a new red paint chip, a slightly pink one, a light red one, and a reddish purple one. This week I think they are going to move to another color in the spectrum. ;)

Grateful? For getting an unfinished game and then been slowly drip fed patches for the next couple of years? And then now news about a patch for B-Bloody Spec? Yeah im ever so grateful :ouch:

Could of swore i read they would be fixing this game weekly?

Edit: after reading rest of the thread i was right.

We have updates to seasonal events happening weekly.

We are on version 1.05 and it has only been about 3 months since release. Ok, the game may not be 100% of what it was supposed to be, but it is playable and there is a fair amount of conten.

I work full time and have a family life so have yet to get bored and achieve 100% completion with all cars and 123456 different colours of X2010s.

If you look at other games with long development times, patches are rare and players usually get bored. An example that springs to mind is Too Human on the 360. It is a perfectly playable game, but just didn't meet the "we need everything NOW!" logic of people these days.

Relax, take a breath and enjoy other things in life and maybe you won't be so annoyed that they aren't drastically updating the game daily.

I do not recall a "good game" that has had obvious glaring flaws that are easy to fix, and has not been patched.

Hmm perhaps I should go and do a "seasonal event / 5 laps / 5 laps" and stop complaining, but hey its something to do until we get leaderboards or more content.
 
I think the plan was always for the next patch to come in February, dating back to the day the current 1.05 patch came out.

OMG they have nicest video game asses... because you know, it's not normal for a video game site to sell sex appeal to a market which is largely adolescent males right? You realize for years IGN had a babe of the day section and was still one of the biggest video game sites out there...

Tell you what, instead of searching for reasons to try and distract from the point why don't you look at the end of the post and see that link that says "Source"? Click it...

Then come back and tell me why Eurogamer is also not a reliable source.

Well I would have to guess it's because you really don't keep up on the game news... it's not like it wasn't all over (I think it's even buried in GTP's news and twitter feed somewhere) when it was announced. There were threads about it in these very forums... maybe the reason you are willing to claim it never happened is because you haven't bothered to actually research the topic?
 
Interestingly enough I went to Eurogamers website, know what there was a lack of? that quote, quite curious. and I assure you I keep up with gaming news, I have owned each console of the last 2 gens and just recently got into PC gaming, my 1st job was at a game store, I have a favs folder dedicated to gaming related bookmarks and currently have 9 different tabs open right now relating to gaming (news and otherwise) not counting various GTP threads. As for the the other comment, I could get into it more, but I can't be bothered right now deliberating over it.

So now that you have proven you have no right to question someone elses credibility since you didn't even bother to Ctrl F the site you were spoon fed intructions on how to find I am going to suggest you stop persuing that road.

OP made a legitimat post about a legitimate issue and was told readily it never happened... then the proof that it happened is simply dismissed... nice.

BTW that gamestore you worked at, did it rhyme with mameprop?
 
I will admit that I didn't see that, I checked GT5 in their search engine I found very few links, I'm not familiar with the site in the slightest bit, and it seems you need to do a fair bit of digging to get all the news on a particular product. That being said, ambitions and reality are 2 different things, its clear that is hardly the full quote, who's to say what was omitted not including the words "We will be trying to be" something that would make that a complete sentence, even then if the statement was "Yes we will be delivering weekly updates." the current knowledge about updates is they are trying to do them on a monthly basis.

Even then it said "upgrading" an upgrade is not an patch, an upgrade could mean MANY things from server improvements, to upgrading code for an upcoming patch, that quote no matter how its looked at says nothing about "weekly patch." So I restate there has been nothing said about weekly patches.

Lastly no, I did not work for a gamestop, I loath how they conduct business and how they treat their customers and have heard stories about how the staff is not treated as well.
