thanks, i find slow cars just as fun and challenging as fast cars, except the midget, when i got a red time 5min's into lap 1 i was about to quit, but grabed a cold beer in the fridge and restarted, 2nd try was a pure joyride lol

Yeah thats what i like with stock cars, even slower cars are fun and challenging, i like old rear wheel drive cars like the Giulia sprint etc... :)

They sure are, but lots of people think its easy being fast in a slow car, it just isn't. When i race online i often go to the shuffle races, if the people in the room is regular shufflers the race is even more challenging then going into a 650pp racing car room i would say..... old rwd's are just the top! i'v always owned a old Rwd in real life too....my favorite in game must be the Celica XX 2800GT '81 i think. but im still getting used to my new G27 wheel, and puttin old rwd's on nurb is just getting on my nerve atm. lol

I saved the replay if you want some sort of validity. Unfortunately, I don't have a capture card, so you'll have to add me on PSN to see it.

* On the replay, it said 5:27:560, so I'm not sure if the one above or this one is the true time.

Im wondering about how i could take 9sec's of the A2 time, dont you guys overhaul your cars?
My Audi A2 had a pp of 308 when i set the time, what did yours have?

Mine had 304 PP. I use the DS3.. A few more KPH on the main straight and some smoother cornering. That should give you 9 secs, I guess. But I also only ran one lap with it. Might be able to do a better lap.
 
A few laps, all driving aids off except ABS: 1 (although the NASCAR and X2010 were driven with ABS: OFF :dopey:), using a DS3 controller

Running Racing Softs, using different suspension settings to my Impala, though it's a little bit slower now :banghead:
7:38.668 - Honda NSX Type R '02 - BEATEN
I honestly didn't expect this 305hp car to do such a quick lap around the circuit, unmodified, and on stock tyres, replay available as proof if needed ;)
7:38.566 - Lexus IS F '07 - BEATEN
Another one I didn't expect to go under the 7:40 mark, as per rules, completely stock including tyres
7:22.393 - Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) '06 - BEATEN
Great handling car, and that engine sound :drool: Stock.
7:24.782 - Ferrari F430 '06 - BEATEN
Quite push-able for an MR car, really stable, love it :D
3:33.214 - Gran Turismo Red Bull X2010 S.Vettel - BEATEN
No comments...

Note: All have had oil changes to bring them to their peak HP's :)

Congratulations for being able to drive one lap of Nurby without understeering straight into the grass! I'd rather not talk about my attempt with the Veyron :ouch::ouch::ouch:

I'm gonna do some more Nordschleife lap times in the future, as well. Both attempting to beat some times & setting new ones. Need some practice on the Green Hell.

Not done yet though with this car.. 1st 3rd of the lap was good, rest had little mistakes every other corner. Oil changed, otherwise stock. Used Practise mode.

My sincerest apologies all - that CTR2 time was indeed BS. I just checked it then, still full of indignance and outrage, and found it still had the Sport Soft tyres and bigger turbo from the B-Spec Supercar race I'd forgotten about.

Egg, face etc...

And I feel just the same as you do with the passion.. Makes one wonder how online leaderboards for all tracks and cars could affect the game!

Did you try the midget? im not doing it again lol just thought it should be on the list :) it hits the rev limiter at 115-116kph

Compared to the FTO, this one is a bit understeery when cornering.

6:51:751 - Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car (elitedriver123)
A bit slower than the Impreza, but its quick acceleration is more than desirable.

Tires Used: RH
Notes: Had a bit of problems with TCS off so I'll probably need to start another lap.

Not yet. But I will some day. I did run both the Kubelwagen, the Schwimmwagen and the 2CV around.. THOSE were slow. The only thing you can improve with those cars are keeping the gas at that point just before the rev limiter, so the engine doesn't slow the car down with 5-6 kph :P Quite a challenge actually. But a horrible one!!:crazy:

Thx man, yeah had to be careful not to go WOT too soon exiting corners lol
but its a quick car it was a lot of fun!
thats some great times you did by the way, i will have to retest the NSX Type-R but you did 7 second faster than the time i did (i know i had some room for improvement but still...) Its pretty quick i dont know how you can drive like that without any aids except ABS1 with a controller!!....:D


I agree also thats a great thread and a great challenge, all have been honest so far and its nice :)

Yeah i know, i was tapping the gas all way around so i was driving 113-114kph and it is actually harder then it sounds like. the A2 and Vitz dont hits the revlimiter at least.
Its the same deal with the Dodge Charger, it just goes 180 instead, haven't been able to do a prober lap yet.

Yeah, I have something against cars with too much understeer, although I don't really mind love oversteer.

I double-checked my NSX lap just to make sure I didn't do any modifications, and it did in fact turn out to be completely stock apart from an oil change. I have the replay saved, although I don't have a capture card :grumpy: Anyone who wants to see it can add me as a friend on PSN.

In-fact, I usually turn ABS OFF on race cars and cars which don't have them in real life, although this requires an adjustment of the brake bias to be able to control the car.

I'd attribute my driving skills to all the practice I've got since playing GT3, since it's near impossible to get a decent wheel over here :(

Anyways, a few laps:

10:09.687 - Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) '95 - NEW
I wasn't expecting to have so much fun with a 61hp car.Taking corners at the limit is great fun, combined with the FR layout giving some oversteer :)

7:13.612 - Ford GT '06 - BEATEN
I just beat your time mike_gt3 :D A great handling car with good pace, my favorite American car in-game 👍

7:37.400 - Aston Martin Vanquish '04 - BEATEN
A nice drive! Quite neutrally balanced and doesn't oversteer too much under acceleration.

7:29.188 - Ferrari F40 '92 - BEATEN
My absolute favorite car in-game :drool: Perfect amount of oversteer for me, and great handling overall, not to mention a beautiful engine sound! I turned ABS: OFF as usual, to represent the real car accurately :sly:

7:31.435 - BMW M5 '05 - BEATEN
Being a BMW, it's driving pleasure :dopey:
 
we are allowed to race racecars on RS tyres right?

Nice times Niceness, im gonna have to try and beat them AGAIN lol :)
