The time has almost come for me to get my PSP, i cant wait, Toca race driver 2 and probably FIFA 2006.

Well, for a few weeks now, while waiting until i get paid, ive been contemplating it, and the other day i asked a few pepole at work who had them, if it is worth buying for all that money, they all said yes and your stupid if you dont buy one, so that solidifyed my buying one.

What are the best NON racing games on it currently?

Yeah, Mercury was cool. I just don't think there will be any replay value to it once you complete it IMO, that's why I didn't keep it.
 
I've got Ridge Racer (on launch) and Midnight Club 3. Midnight Club is v. good imo, Ridge Racer got me bored after about 4 hours. Thing is, that there aren't many good/great PSP games around you know? I want something epic and it never comes along, the only thing close to great will be GTA when it comes out for the PSP soon. And GT Mobile of course :D
 
GTA LS comes out around the 21st of October and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 should be out in November (UK release dates anyway).

Those are going to be the best games on the PSP by my reckoning.

The PSP is kinda lacking good games so far. :indiff: The only one I really like is Ridge Racer and Darkstalker.

A really cool one I am waiting for is Street Fighter Zero 3: Double Upper which is coming out this November! :embarrassed: Maybe you should try that! :embarrassed:
 
Good games? They are mostly good from reveiws just not great. anything above a 7 is considered good. I have 3 games and 1 movie. Virtua Tennis ans SSX seems to be great games if we are steering away rom racing games. Tony Hawk is a great game that I'm wainthing for a price drop to get. PSP had the highest average rating for its launch titles than pretty much any other modren system. There are lots of good games, its all in taste. My My Katamari is going to be be big hit for psp and expect a boost in jpn sales to catch up with the rest of the world.

I cant put Ridge Racer down for more than 2 hour. I use it at work and when My my Katamry comes out thats going to be the only game i need :)
 
GTA LCS is coming 28th here... So that's the one I'm going to buy. And MG: Acid, why are the ratings so high? Come on, it's a stupid crap card game.. I have it, and it's sooo stupid.. I really thought it would be a cool one becaus I thought it would've been like on the PS2.

It's really not that bad. It's got a fairly long play time overall so if you want to feel like you're acomplishing something and chipping away at it, MG:A is a great game. If you want a good story with quick action...well, it's not quick action and the story is your typical Metal Gear story (i.e. it's CRAZY!). The Card thing is a bit frustrating but it would be horrendous any other way, especially with the lack of two anologue sticks and both shoulder buttons.
 
Its easy to say that until you play the other games, Race driver 2 is fantastic, FIFA 06 is awsome, ive pre ordered WRC as it looks amazing. Bring on GTA and GT4.
 
yeah but those games are all available for ps2 with full bower not 2 thirds.

I dont need to play games on the move that badly Id rather listen to music.
 
You can do that too, with and without music videos with it.

Plus the games i have arent watered down, the only notable thing missing from FIFA 06 is the added bonus of having FIFA 94 to play.

I meant if they were to try to reproduce the gameplay of the original MGS games, it would be very difficult with only one anologue stick and one trigger to each side. I think that's why they changed it to a card game thing.
