Seems logical. Surely the real-life tracks have areas set up specifically for the media, and it'd make sense for "The Real Driving Simulator" to use the same angle. Enhances the feel of the game and lends itself to the suspension of disbelief.
Bet you find the same at other real-world tracks too.
well any camera angles are bound to be the same anyway! they'd just be the 'natural' angle to film the shot i.e on the outside of corners and entrance to turns etc. But lovely pickup on it.
