Was on when the events changed. This looks to be a fun one! As you run it, through out some times so we all can see what we are running.

I took one of my favorites there last night. Ferrari F40. Ran a 1:52. I am sure that won't be the fastest, but it sure is fun!

Any setup info on the F40?

Not right now. At work. But can drop you a line later. I know I was on R1's, stock weight, slightly lower HP. Gearing was dropped to 180ish in 5th. Suspension is what I can't remember.

Thanks.👍

Some free run laps i did, don't laugh i know there slow.

512BB 1'50.502
Z06 1'52.693 needs gearing change.
NSX-R 1'50.162
Clio tuned 1'50.896

All times were done with just a few laps each.

As I suspected...'07 Imprezza WRX 1'48.688. :indiff:

Why? Why do they ruin true GT races with these compact production cars?

the NSX is capable of going into the 48's, i know i had a go earlier with a nowhere near finished set up

I am in my first week of G25 ownership, and ran those times using the clutch. I am still, at least, over 1 sec off my typical times in most cars. I wouldn't be surprised if someone could pull a solid 1:50, or better, in the F40.

Will be back on this later tonight.

Posted a new personal best of 18:06 tonight. Had a couple of off laps, so could have seen an 18:05 or 4. Used the GTR (of course) on S3 tires.

I'm not consistent enough to shoot at the total race times, especially DRC. I am down to 1:48.6 with the GT-R 07 on S3 tires. Ran 3 laps in a row under 1:49.

Like this event.

Go tune a Skyline Coupe/Tuned :D:D

All the best

Best lap I have laid down was a 1:47.4 in the GTR.

I will say that you don't need a GTR to run in the 48's. Had a guy in a Ferrari California running right there with me and another GTR running those times. He was obviously on S3's as well, as he was able to pass me as we were crossing the finish line on one of the laps.

There are quite a few cars that are capable of running 48's around Daytona. I've only used the M3 and ISF so far, but was able to clock a 1'48.4 in free air with the M3. The ISF is about a second behind the M3. Either way, with equal drivers and proper setup (glitch setup), the GT-R still has the supreme advantage around this track. On S2's I remember running a 1'46.1 with the GT-R, two or three updates ago, which is at least a good second faster than anything else. I'd imagine the STi with the glitch tune is also very fast though.

All I can do is a poor 1.53.004 :grumpy:

Mmmm...F40, what a beast.
I was running the F40 on N3's in the 550pp Daytona race before the last update so switching to S3's for the 650pp was quite a treat.

Managed a 1:51.438 in clean air during a race and I'm by no means a great driver so sub 1:50's should be no problem if the right driver chooses to take the F40 for a spin.

Daytona Road 650pp - 1:49.860 - Fairlady Z Version S

During a race, out front all by myself. Trying to keep the Subaru behind me at bay.

OK, I'm bumping this one up as me and a friend are going to be racing this tonight and would like a few more racers to play with.

I'll be racing under my GTP tag (GTP_Egghead) and my friend is GTP_CDN_BMXer.
We're starting for sure for the 8:30 PST race (11:30 EST), and every one after that, but I might be in for a few earlier. Our plan is to race some Rwd brutes (F40, 599, Vipers, Vettes, Ford GT, etc) to have some fun taming the beasts as we'll be running on no better than S3's.

Let me know if anyone plans to join us, or just show up, and we'll see you on the track.

I am running Ford GT with S2/S2 and -7 HP and stock tune. Getting 1'49.4 now.

made it for the first race, should be able to stick around for a few more

good race ;P fun times but el_zissou i know how you beat rofajole now on your last race. YOU CUT THE GRASS AT THE CHICANE EVERY LAP i watched you do it. Is that NOT against the racing regulations for the event you guys were in??

shame thats a sad way to win in my book.

Im by far interested in grip racing i ONLY enjoy drifting on gt series but since grip racers are always talking about clean racing and lines ect i would think that grass cutting would be looked down on

yeah, well punting someone off under braking into turn 1 isn't exactly clean either.

And so what if I was holding you up.

Going back in with the Ferrari 599 for the 10:00 PST race. Should be fun taming this beast!
Beware, I'm on S3's so I'll be braking a little earlier than you guys on the R's...just look in your mirrors for me on the straights. This thing is FAST!

Egghead we got clicked! :ouch:

Was setting up as a nice battle. Go again now?

Great race guys 👍

I'm out for tonight, see ya later
