good race ;P fun times but el_zissou i know how you beat rofajole now on your last race. YOU CUT THE GRASS AT THE CHICANE EVERY LAP i watched you do it. Is that NOT against the racing regulations for the event you guys were in??
shame thats a sad way to win in my book.
Im by far interested in grip racing i ONLY enjoy drifting on gt series but since grip racers are always talking about clean racing and lines ect i would think that grass cutting would be looked down on
first, i would just like to point out to you that it is exceedingly bad form to do the following in public:
- accuse someone of cheating
- accuse someone of winning a race by cheating, when you hadnt seen a single wheel turn during that race
- further conclude that a persons performance in a race for which you were absent was both sad and shameful
secondly, it would be nearly impossible for you to have seen my line through the chicane every lap, for a number of reasons:
- i was a good bit faster per lap than you last night; this would have make it nearly impossible for you to be able to keep up with me, every lap, even enough so that you could catch the smallest bit of my draft approaching the chicane and get close enough to view my cars placement while negotiating it. dust in the distance does not guarantee that a car has taken a shortcut.
- if we were closer in speed, it would be highly unlikely that you would be in a position to make the observations described above, every single lap
and if the above is not sufficient to make you think twice about your statements, here are some facts from last night:
- i encountered you exactly once last night, for a very small portion of the race
- when i did come across you, it was after 7 or 8 laps of having good clean fun with some of the other folks in this thread, and i had finally made my way to the front of the pack, to find you in your skyline, succumbing rapidly to my better-looking white one
- when we met, you performed some of the assault tactics on me that have been described by others in this thread- to try and set a better example, i stayed clean and kept it moving. i was only in your vicinity for a short time; this renders your accusations more or less impossible.
thirdly, i invite you to have a look at some guidelines on what is considered to be a clean line and what is considered dirty:

in particular, this picture does a good job of illustrating my strategy through parts of the busstop:
if you can imagine the effect of a large object like a car passing just inches over some dirt and grass at a high rate of speed, as well as a couple of tires tearing through it, you might expect to see something like this:
from a good distance away, a dust cloud might have you thinking someone has cut the chicane. personally, i dread the thought of not having two tires on something solid through there- it happens on occasion, and both slows the car down and makes it feel very unstable, often resulting in disaster. this i something i avoid at all costs.
fourth, i would just like to point out to you that i have spent many hours on track with lots of people from gtplanet, and have raced for several months with folks in the 6-axis championship. i think youll find that accusing me of shortcutting a track will not be given much credibility here, and that instead you will just be looked at as an unreliable source of information. this, coupled with some of the purposeful swerving and battering that you were dealing out last night, is not a good way to make friends.
and finally, id like to invite you out for some dancing this evening:
