If you are doing the 24hr nurburg endurance race, do you have to do it non-stop or can you save it in between.

No, you can't save. You have to leave your PS2 on until it's finished.

2) You can either do it in A-spec; 24 hours or in B-spec. time sped up X3= 8 hours

Yeah but the 3x speed up disables after the AI car pits!

Never in GT-x have you been able to save during a race. Between races in a series, yes. But not while in a race. So it shouldn't be a surprise that the 24 hrs (and 9 hrs and 8 hrs etc.) have to be done straight through without saving. But that doesn't mean not pausing. I had my PS2 on for 5 days straight when I did it in a-spec. No problems whatever.
