Nurburgring Challenge Version 2 *POST YOUR TIMES*(N2, S2 and R3 Tires)

Clearly you can go faster by not touching the grass, since wheels have a tendency to grip tarmac better than dirt and weeds. However, although we all try to apply the OLR rules for posting times here, there have been certain posts in which the whole car does indeed go onto the grass. They're obviously frowned upon, but they're sometimes accepted.

What I usually do is that if I gain advantage through grass excursions, the time is not valid. If I don't, then it's valid, but of course, it won't be much good.

I will down load the videos and review them, as for grass, as long as ONLY two wheels go off then the time is ok:tup:.
 
from the WRS rules:

- 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
- rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
- no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
- if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
- no hybrids
- no cheating of any kind
- nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

I think, to a point, those rules apply to the submitted times here... of course, James has the final say.

Ive had a hard time keeping my eyes open today, but somehow i pulled this out. My arms ache now though, cos i have been driving the Minolta since, and the FF down the Le Sarthe straight is a wear on me.

Replay is saved if required.

So I've been exchanging PMs with James, talking about maybe a new challenge, seeing as the Nurburgring Challenge and the Suzuka Challenge are doing alright and they're both very er... challenging tracks. However, we're thinking maybe we should have a new track to do a challenge in.

I suggested we stay within the Real Life tracks, and my first choice was La Sarthe I, but after driving it around with the Lupo and other small cars, I was pretty damn bored. So here's where all of you come in:

Give us a track to do the next challenge in and let's discuss further tracks, whether it's real life or not. Then we'll take the 10 most suggested tracks, make a poll and the track that wins, will be the next challenge.

The corners i got wrong were all round the track :lol: but mainly i got the schweudenkreuz complex, with the kleiner karusell very wrong, and then of course, galgenkopf could have been better too...

I ran out of patience, and steady hands, not to mention eyesight last nite.

I can only upload the .max file, if thats any good to you, maybe you can convert it to youtube or something...

Got a mighty fine collection of Nürburgring ghosts to chase down... now all I need is some time to have a go at it... :banghead:

Laguna Seca (already taken)
El Capitan
Infineon (normal track)
Fuji 2005
Monaco


Just need about five more suggestions.

Im sorry i took so long, but i have had a busy time of late, and the max drive refuses to boot everytime, then i had fun trying to find the right replay, im still not 100% that i did but here goes:

It seems that there is a 22000 Character limit in post. So in order to update the leaderboard I will need to make
a thread just for the leaderboard it's self. This leaderboard has about 117000 characters:eek:.

You could make separate leaderboards, according to tyres.

One post for N2s, one post for S2, one post for R3s?

Yes I was thinking of this as well.
 
Put in a time for one of my all time favourite rally cars (unfortunately there's no proper Audi Quattro rally car in the game).

Ran this with stock top speed; I couldn't remember if we are allowed to change it for race and rally cars. If we can change it, there'll be a good number of seconds to pick up because the S4 is on the limiter everywhere.

Yeah, but it's so fun to drive that it makes up for it. That one and the Renault 5 Rally Car...
 
Hi guys there is some very good times going on around here, Impressive. Too post a viable time here do you have too show a replay and setting quick tune confirmation screens etc. A few day's ago I got a mid 7,37, in my favorite Street Car in the game a Mazda RX7 Spirit R Type A. This car seems too always be the fastest production car on the compititions here, hey what do you expect its a rotary:sly:
