I've seen it as well, it's a weird purple thing, caused when the sun is infront of you but below the horizon, not a ghost, I don't think !
 
Is a ghost. "The Girl on the Side of the Road" (search in google if you don't know this urban legend) No doubt. Everybody knows ghosts can apear in videogames. In Poltergeist (the film) they came out from T.V. This is a fact.

I don't believe in glitches. XD
 
I saw it last night online definitely a glitch of some sort I thought my telly or PS3 might have been starting to catch fire I near crapped myself
 
Its incredible how far this thread has gone. Did´nt expect that. I tried to take a picture of "it", but it does´nt appear on them. Only when playing. As everyone is saying, i´m sure it´s just a light/shadow glitch.

That is really trippy...i couldnt stop staring at it right now (but had to, in case my boss walks by).

It really seems like it is spreading...
 
It's a glitch with the sun while rising and setting. The glitch causes light effects to penetrate the road/foreground (the sun is behind the hill or tree or road) and you see this blue splotch.

na, i'm joking. Its actually the ghost of a vampire werewolf that was run over by a Daihatsu. Kaz mentioned this on his blog. Seriously........

I can’t believe you guys didn’t read about this in Phantom Archive Gaming Magazine. Better known as PHAG (pronounced “fag”). This is the quote from the article.

PHAG: “So I understand the PD office is possessed”

I can back up the OP's story. Depends on the lighting, but every once in a while I get a blue "thing" on the road going into that corner. Just a graphics glitch, nothing to get butt hurt over.

Totally, the same thing happened to me, only I think the vampire werewolf was giving a review of the movie “Twilight: Noon Moon” while I drove by.

That ghost pigmy hippo hacker definitely knows how to write some serious code for the PS3.
