my opinion (gt4 isnt out, but its gonna own all)

Pgr2s physics are brilliant, they may not be realistic but man they are FUN , the cars feel just right. Cobras argument is that PGR2 is crap because its not a sim. Its like saying sonic the hedgehog is crap because its not an acrurate simulation of hedgehogs. Pftttttttttttttt, foolish child.
Btw GT3's physics are crap, anyone who thinks gt3 is realistic...well just play gtc, thats alot better for handling if u ask me.
 
Atleast they are better than what pgr2 is offering.

Brilliant physics would be physics that SIMulate real physics. Yes gtc has better physics, its newer. GT3's physics are more realistic and better then PGR2's.

The aim of an arcade racer is for it to be fast action fun filled racing, project gothem does this well...the game is fun but the physics ARE NOT brilliant. The cars don't "just feel right". They feel like there designed so that as soon as you turn you power slide, because thats the aim of the game, to powerslide and earn "kudos" ( **** i hate that gay kudos system ).

PGr2 is an arcade racer, it's physics do not resemble reality, you need to get that through your head.

Also if a game was made about the real life of a headgehog, that would be a sad day for gamers around the world.

You will believe anything and everything that you read or see, you have no abilities to judge anything on your own, and you immediately dismiss other peoples views and simply reiterate your own over and over. Get over yourself, while GT4 will be better than PGR2, no doubt, PGR2 is still a great game, so get off of your high stool, and come back down to the ground.
 
All games have there share of strong points and weak points, NO GAME IS PERFECT! :D

I agree that in comparison to GT3 your right, but they are better than 90%+ of other racing games on a console.
 
I'm unsure which is better GT3 vs PGR2, however I do think driving the cars in PGR2 is more entertaining. GT3 I couldnt help but find it monotonous after a while, the hairdryer engine noises, wide tracks, most cars seem to understeer direct from the dealerships until I set them all up.

Whereas in PGR2 theres quite a few tail happy cars & do feel like they've got power behind them just not a hair dryer ;)

GT : P + GT4 will be better though, main fault with PGR2 I think is I found singleplayer repetitive.

Citta d Aria, now thats more like it :D, hell in GT : P I actually enjoy a (GT) city track (New York), well theres a first time for everything :)
 
The cars in GT3 handle alot more realistic than in PGR2, thats why the understeer more, bnot many production cars are setup to oversteer because on public roads it's not as safe, it's two different game types, although PGR2 keeps an real feel to the cars it's still an arcadey game, which is why all the cars are setup to oversteer.
 
PGR2 is a great online game.

It is let down as a single player game by the fact that each car can only enter a handful of races, whereas gran turismo allows cars to enter many different championships. The problem is that each level you race a certain car class. Most levels only have 2 or 3 races (but various other challenges), so in single player mode you do not have the freedom to race any car on any track, although you can race time trial with any car on any track. It is incredibly annoying to have over 90 tracks but be restricted in what cars can race on them. (However, online you can set any car on any track).

PGR2 is also let down by the lack of any long races whatsoever.

PGR2 does have depth, and is far beyond an arcade racer.
 
Theres a difference between an arcade game and an arcadey game, and I was takling about the handling of the cars, in a race PGR2 feels alot more arcadey (as in less like a sim) than GT3.

You are right that the handling is indeed "arcadey", but the cars do feel more real than a lot of arcade racers.

I just find the whole kudos thing a put off. I race to win a race, I'm not interested so much in "style" driving. Getting across the finish line first is what matters.:)
 
i love showing off! Screaming the car round a tight corner at stupid speeds takes skill, and its great that it rewards you. Obviously this wouldnt work in games like GT, but in PGR its ace.
 
If you want to show off drift. That's what I do in gt3.
 
When i saw that cobra Gt had responded, I knew he would type some crap like he allways does. Once again I wasn't let down. Cobra WTF are you on about? SENTANCES COBRA, USE THEM, ffs typing random words, and just hoping people will understand just isn't good enough.

Still, I can't wait till I get GT4, im gonna kick your crappy little ass online so badly.I can't really be smug after I beat you though, I mean you are 12/ and or stupid.

Oh and cobra, from now on, try PLAYING a game, then saying it's crap, don't let the PD/ Sony fan boy side of you keep kicking in.

Well physics wise I think GTC really showed up that GT3 was far from perfect, since imo, the handling in GTC is far better & more realistic.

GT : P expands on this further & no doubt physics wise GT4 will be the best yet. Personally I was quite dissapointed with GT3 after the initial buzz. Can't wait for a 'proper' GT with decent gfx & handling :)
 
Gt5 will give us the decent graphics, GT4 will give us good graphics and amazing handling.

Decent graphics? GT4p's graphics are superb and very realistic and code, don't even try and compare pgr2.

GT4 looks superb too you as your last console was an atari 2600, and your current pc is a 486. Gt4 does look incredible for a ps2 game though.
 
My pc is a Gateway E series, new btw with a 19" CD screen and a good amount of power. GT4's graphics are superb and if you seriously think pgr2 looks more realistic I'm done with you and I'll move on.
