Kinda obvious aint it? 1x18 stone guy would pay less than two 9 stone guys. So they have to knock fuel duty up.

Can we blame obese people for global warming now?

Either the obese people should loose weight, or not fly OR the air line people could find a cheaper way to get the fuel, but like thats going to happen.

Throw fat people towards their destination; they bounce.

Just kidding of course.

wow....some ignorant replies.

im all for them losing weight, but they sure as hell dont need ridicule.

It's not ignorance, just some good old-fashioned ribbing. This raise in fuel costs because of FATness is not made-up, it's a real problem. And it's funny. So there.

Yo mammas so fat she's marked as an air hazard on the map.

I dont think obese people would find that very funny would they, some people have real problems with there weight.

And by taking up two or more seats they give others a problem with thier weight.

how are they causing other people problems? if they take up two seats wouldnt they have to pay for both of them?

They tend to "spill over " into your seat. If you have had the opportunity as I have had to sit next to an obese person you would understand. It can be done without rancor but it helps if you enjoy being intimate with them as you will be "sharing thier flesh" although it may be quite unintentional its quite disconserting. and if you must get to where you are going its not like you have a choice in the matter as the airlines have to put " someone " in the adjoining seat or seats.

Don't make fun of fat people, or they'll come round and sit on you.

LMAO. that first one almost made me fall out of my chair. i only feel bad for people who cant help themselves or are not to blame for being so gordo.

i wonder if they will make low-chromosome diets for people with genetic obesity.

i have problems with arilines too though...its not that im fat and am "spilling" all over the place, lol, im just too damn big. i have to rest the armrest on my leg/knee, and my bone frame is about as big as the seat will comfortably allow. first class would be a lot more comfortable....obviously.

i think planes should have an extra section...probably in the middle of the plane to keep it balanced....where fat people could sit. F-Class or something. anyways.....it would just be a bunch of bench style seats and morbidly obese people could file in until the bench was comfortably filled...then on the the next bench and so on.

I feel sorry for the dog, I'm lucky I'm a skinny piece of sh.. I mean I'm a lucky, skinny, normal airfair paying guy.

I'm don't know jack about aircraft but I'm willing to bet that the Airbus 380 is a big ass plane.

only going to a wieght watchers convention I am sure.

i wonder if the second floor would collapse on the a380

I would hate to the the pilot if the plane went into a dive ...

There would be a message over the tannoy: "Can all people over 200 lbs kindly move to the rear of the plane".

back in the early days of commercial airlines the passengers were weighed...maybe they should introduce that again and let everyone pay according to the amount of fuel which has to be burned for him?

I think that would work. The calculations would have to be spot on. Instead of weighing machines, there could be a walkthrough metal detector/weighing machine. It could also check your passport and luggage to make going to the airport a bordom free experience. It could slash waiting times.

That wouldn't eliminate fat people spilling into your seat.

I think this thread is getting a bit too deep. Imagine any large people viewing it. They would be horrified at what people comment on. How about areas for large people (over 250 lbs), medium (150-250lbs) and small (150 and below). The different weights could be distributed properly over the plane. Spilling fat problem solved.

plane functionality is tied in with mass.

plane comfortability is tied in with volume.

i hear of people bringing food and snacks on planes. i brought a sandwich when i went to ark. so maybe the problem with fatties is not their physical size....but the mondo picnic that they bring with them.
