Odd thing about car PP regulations in B-spec

Hi all.

I've been trying lately to do the B-spec seasonal events but I keep having the same issue :

I try to use the car with the highest PP possible (since my B-spec level is 23, my Bob sucks and I can't afford to use lower powered cars). However I just can't enter the race without being much lower than the limit. Here's an example

Limit 500PP :

Car with 496PP is refused
Car with 430PP is accepted.

Is there something I'm missing? I'm sorry if it's been answered elsewhere but I didn't find anything on the forums.

Also I made sure that the tires match the restrictions...

Any help is appreciated!

Edit : I also made sure my driver was above the recommendations.
 
That's weird... Whatever is above the restrictions should show in yellow/red when you try to enter, does the 496PP show in yellow/red?
 
Make sure you are not confusing the PP and HP numbers. Easily done
 
Did you check the other requirements (if any) such as the vehicle being a non-race car or the vehicle being equipped with the proper tires? The vehicle entered must fulfill all the requirements. So while it may be below the PP limit, if the race requires you to run on SS or less grade of tires and you only have RS available for the car it won't be allowed in.

This. If you look at the requirements it'll actually highlight where you are in breach.
 
The 500PP seasonal is a non racecar (includes RM´s , TC´s and Tuner cars) and must be run on Sports Hard IIRC. ;)

@all : I just tried entering the 500PP race with the 496PP Lancer Evo Super Rally Car '03 (all stock) and the PP is highlighted, as if it was above!

I think -raver- has it right : maybe no race cars? But how are we supposed to know this?

It says it in the entry requirements. For these seasonals, it must be a "normal car", I guess that excludes all your rally, rm, tc, tuner, etc. cars.
 
No rally cars allowed as above it says it on screen before choosing which race you want to do.
