I think that the BMW M3 GTR pic could be chopped.

Well its not, heres the real one.

well im kinda dissapointed with how well i did on the real/ingame test, there was nothing there i could honestly call close to photorealistic. although if pd are aiming for photorealism then gt5 should be a huge leap closer.

Just noticed this

its grayed out now.. but what the hell could be going in there? realtime weather perhaps?

It could be the day to night thing. I remember hearing about that. photorealism is just an art style. PD wants gt4 to be photorealistic and they are doing so with their attention to realistic detail which imo resembles the real thing quite damn well. that's what photorealistic means, it's not a level or anything, just an art style and to tell you the truth, gt4 looks dead real at certain angles.

if you mean the laout of the circuits cobra then yeah there getting it spot on. but visually weve come to the end of the ps2's useful life. and sadly comparing gt4 to real life is a step too far, its looking rather blurry. like playing doom 3 on lowest texture quality compared to highest. the future potentias there tho and it wont be as noticeabe when the games in motion.

oh and i wouldnt class weather as a day/night thing... and if thats what it means then thats kinda misleading. im hoping it at LEAST means standing water on the track like R11 on GT3

Heres the road version you can buy.

SWEET HUH?

Except they only ever built 1, so no, you can't buy it.

I still do not think that these red things are proof that you can change the car's colors and racing #s. My money still says they are earily renderings that haven't had all their colors completely placed in. The cars were probably modeled in a default red.

And why does it says sold in the front window of the M3 GTR picture?
Also why is that car on a car sale showroom??

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

WOW! This site is full of useful information! Anyone who is behind on GT4 info should refer to that site! :O I reall love how the site is designed with all those flash stuff. 👍 Hopefully, Polyphony Digital will keep on updating that site...unless they really want to leave it like that to make us all get hungry for more info :O

It probably says sold so no one touches it, and companies will sometimes put concept cars and such in dealer show rooms just for publicity.

Has anyone seen a bit of backfire in one of the site's many video samples? I wanna see what all the hype is about.

The site is definatly cool......needs some more images in the car section tho....and the information is very sketchy......hopefully it'll get better over time!

anyone watch the fuji video?

What the hell car do you suppose they were using there?
Went from last to first inside 5 seconds. :scared:

I certainly hope that's not the case. 359, has Microsoft purchased the rights to license P, F and L? Who now has control to those rights? If there is an expiration date, when? Thanks. 👍

Wow, I think PD does listen to us! A while back, I suggested the idea of having a sort of race management feature, and whadda ya know, along comes B-Spec!

B-Spec ain't news; it's been around for a while... and it's a damn good idea too, I think. There are times when I'd like to eat sunflower seeds or something, and can't hold a controlled. A controlled interactive replay, B-Spec is. ;) I have several good ideas for GT5 concepts...I'll do a search or two and maybe start a thread :D.

Yeah, I was also wondering what car could that be...
It may be a surprise, because they didn't put the name of the car on the left bottom of the video, like the other ones.

They've had the idea for B-Spec since GT3 A-spec came out.

The Idea for B Spec was around Since before GT3 A-Spec was completed.
GT3 B Spec was meant to come out after that, and Kaz was working on that as a seperate game, but decided not to proceed with it, and carried it forward to GT4.

Just hope the same thing doesnt happen to the Online GT4 disc :yuck:

I had known about the idea, just didn't know that it was going to be incorporated in GT4, and that that's what B-spec is.

Anyone notice that the site seems to be suffering from a little belated Y2K ? A few of the lm race cars from the year 2000 are listed as pre1950. lmao!
