62 mls 100 km/h

and i guess from here on you can do the math yourself.

IIt´s the first jump of the ring (the two ultra-fast right-bends at the "flugplatz"). You are going down to 125 mph.

My fastest one was a 211 Km/H which means 155 mph and i´m allways able to pass it with 195 km/H (=143 mph).

I like to go through there a just a little slower on the entrance because i'd rather not touch the grass on the exit of the 2nd right hander and loose speed and time. Every time i've touched the grass on the exit I either bog the engine down, rev it up and bog down when I get back on the asphault. Or I get squirelly from getting on the grass. So I just play those two corners safe for consistency.

Your method is the safer one, i agree !

But as i was already told, i had this little mistake in my Calculation...! (km/H to mph)

But anyway: I just made it !!!!

One week of hard Practice and i just managed a 6:59:420. Even if you go 12 seconds faster i´m so happy at the moment :)

And the freaky thing is: I´m drunk !!!! :dopey:

Just arrived home from a little christmas party where i had some beer, some wine and a wodka. I just wanted to drive one secure and easy lap on the nordschleife when i realized that i was almost 2 seconds faster than my old fastest time (7:01:118). The split time was the one before the "carusell" and the next two minutes i was really sweating ! :scared:

Then, two corners before "Schwalbenschwanz" (at the highspeed part after "Pflanzgarten 2") i spun off :sick:

So i did another lap and this time it worked out !

Now i can go to bed with a grin !

Is there still a time board or something like that ? I would love to know, if i would be in the top 20 with this time !


Oh, and by the way: You have posted a "Danke" when flinx said "1st class racing" !!

Are you from Germany ???
 
3rd gen, GREAT video. I like your skills. Still room for improvements. a few of the turns, u braked too much, to keep safety or i dont know what, but still great driving. i beleive you can take it down to 6:45. Its quite a long circuit, 3 seconds is not much for the entire duration, so when I have time ill post a video myself.

good job again :D
