this "flitz"guy... umm its just my opinion and i hope no one gets mad but....is someone you spends there life mastering a videogame really that respectable.....i no its his job and all but i wouldn't bow to him if i saw him

This is not a matter of geeky perseverance…it’s about natural driving ability. As you can see, Flinx is well endowed.

lol Flinx, where do u live? we should meet each other sometime lol..... sees whos ruling GT :P

Greets,
Remmahegdels
In Germany.
Any time you will go there you are welcome to meet me.:D

But if you want to meet someone ruling the game, i recommend Sough, jmr, Momo, Hugo Boss or Arco; those guys really know how to drive.

Aside from that, i guess that my copy of the game will arrive short before New Year or in early January.
So prepare yourself to watch some Replays, you just ahve to tell me which device you prefer, MaxDrive or X-port / Shark-Port.

well Flinx, i can see now how you manage to get 8'02.9xx on the R34 on nurburgring with street tyres... i just wish i noticed that shifting to second is actually slower on that car most of the time, since the car has a wide powerband, and even if it didn't it would sometimes still be faster because the time you lose shifting is too much sometimes. anyway, i'm getting very close to your record, so it's time you took it down to 8 flat before i catch you. ^_^

All times are current and updated on the Nurburgring Nordschliefe Hotlap leaderboard. See my signature for link.

how do you no flinx is such a good driver?

look at his times... that's how.

GT4 isn't just a game, it's also a driving simulator, and a good one. if you can handle a car at it's limit in GT4 you might be able to do it in real life at the track also. of course most people that are good in GT4 would probably be a lot slower in real life because of the fear factor, pushing a car to it's limits in GT4 has no consequences. but we all know what could happen if you go over the limit in real life.

I've got a new Nurburgring time, a 6'49.357 in the Falken GT-R :o I think I have half a second left in me. Had time to do the 2 lap race a few times, I'm actually a little amazed with a 6'54 first lap and a 6'51 2nd lap I was able to pull 10.604 seconds on the viper at the end of the 2 lap race. I didnt think i'd be able to get that big of a gap on him. The closest he got was 2.1 seconds at the fisrt T1 time and I started the 2nd lap with 5.9 seconds up on him, completely checked out on him after that.

All Nurburgring Nordscleife times are posted in a leader board in the link in my signature. Seems the board here is dead....

i'd only consider ppl using DFP good drivers. Flinx is one of them

Ok, i've watched some vids.... and when u use "full track manipulation" 6.40-'s are possible there with that falken believe me.... Damn i cant w8 to drive the nurb sigh...

Anyone have idea how to cut off the time limit in the gt4 demo?

Why not read this ENTIRE thread and stop expecting everything handed to you. It is all explianed in great detail, step by step, in this thread. Go back to around page 10 and read from there.

I´m just downloading them !

Thank you very much ! Now i have some material to improve my skills... !

I will report !

Thx !!

Wow, i didn´t know that the Skyline could be driven that way ! I just watched the video two times and now i´m braking deep into the corners.

My first try was 7:05 (improvement of more than 3 Seconds) and i did some little errors.

I think, i will now be able to brake the 7 Minutes !

Thank you again !

When you say "full track manipulation" do you mean putting 2 tires off in the grass and coming to the very edge of the track with the two other tires like you could do in GT3? If you do then it wont work like that in GT4 ;) staying on the track is actually faster than putting 2 tires off into the grass.

You are correct 6.40's are possible in the Falken GT-R :D 6.48.281 is my newest time  and I actually see room for a few more tenths of improvement.

You guys are crazy and Fast, Damn Fast.. I have the demo since a while, but only since 2 days I've been playing (been out of town). I could only manage a time of 7:16.518 in the Falken with MT, DS2 and Aids ON (still learning the ring). I wrote it this way coz I think i am no where near being competitive, specially with Aids On I dont think I'll even qualify.. And I at the moment consider my time as my quickest. :p

Anyway @ SaintKamus,

I somehow think this demo is too forgiving, though I really am not in a position to say it, coz I myself am driving with "Aids On", but even with aids off, it doesnt feel like "Simulation". Probably could be coz its based on the Arcade part of the game. Coz franly I feel a full throttle down on a curve in a 500PS Falken with aids off means only one thing = SPIN.. Which isnt the case in this demo... All though I still have to spend some more time on it to really comment anything, so dont kill me if I am wrong..

you can´t switch off the TC , that´s the reason you will not spin when accelerating! Wait a few days and you will see how easy you spin and spin and spin.......

Do you have a DFP??? It really changes the entire feel of GT4 when you play it compared to using the steering assisted DS2. Overall the physics are done quite well, I dont think its too forgiving, getting off in the grass in some areas tottaly ruins a run and the bumps on the track can give you a headache if you dont go over them quite right, but it does allow you to make some minor mistakes that would probally wreck your car in real life or cause some crazy over/understeer. Its just the fact that we can only dissable ASM in the demo that limits us to really having some fun and really getting the full feel of the physics system. But for some reason PD didnt allow us to turn off ABS and TCS in the demo. This demo is actually sorta "old" when comparing it to the what has been shown in Japan and at AGS recently. ;) I can NEVER go back to using a DS2 in GT4 after using the DFP.

I have a vid of my 6'48.281, www.3rdgenracerX.net/Nurburgring3.wmv

Hmmm.. I didnt know you cant turn of the TC and ABS, I thought Driving Aids Off means ur turning all kindsa aids off.
I am gonna have to stash a supply of Disprins when the game comes out. Those tiring frustrating laps on the ring with aids, tcs and abs off, is going to give me regular constant headaches! :D

Grrrr !

I´m still working at a time "under 7 minutes" !!!!

Today i managed a 7.01:118 and the next lap the split-time at "Kesselchen" was 3.3 Seconds faster ! So it could have been a 6.58, but i went off between "hohe Acht" and "Pflanzgarten 1". I was off the track with all 4 wheels, so the time won´t count, but i know, i can do it !!!! :)

I will keep on trying !

Oh, by the way: Big respect to Flinx !!!

Awesome times !!!

3rdgenracerX

Yepp !!!

Brilliant racing !

But i wonder if you two (flinx & 3rdgenracerX) could maybe stop to post your times and videos because this is quite frustrating for those guys, that are working on a time under 7 Minutes ! :)

3 Weeks ago i would have been a top driver with my 7:01:118 but you are
DESTROYING EVERYTHING !!! :)

I think, you should both now be banned from the forum !

I just watched the video (3rdgenracerX´s 6'48.281) again and it´s really impressive, but also interesting.

Even if i am more than 10 seconds slower, we are using the same brake-points and the same line !
We are both doing this little "throttle-push" at the beginning of "Hatzenbach" between the fast left corner and the closer right corner to stabilize the car and we also both do the little braking at "Adenauer Forst" when changing from the left corner to the closer right corner to be able to go on full throttle a little earlier.

I´m loosing my time in the middle of the corners. When holding a constant speed in the corners you are so much better ! :guilty:

But even if i´m not in the position to say something like that, i´ve found a place, where i´m faster (YEEEEAAAAH !!!).

It´s the first jump of the ring (the two ultra-fast right-bends at the "flugplatz"). You are going down to 125 mph.

My fastest one was a 211 Km/H which means 155 mph and i´m allways able to pass it with 195 km/H (=143 mph).

So it´s even more frustrating !!!! There is still place for you to improve !!! :yuck:

Ah 211kph is closer to 130mph, and 195 is about 120mph.

the conversion is 1 : 1,6,
31 mls equals 50 km/h,
62 mls 100 km/h

and i guess from here on you can do the math yourself.

and your 1,36 conversion factor, that´s from kw to PS.;)
