Phew, that's good to know. :dopey: Hmm, maybe if we round up enough CS players, GTP could have it's own clan.... đź’ˇ
 
Got the game today! :D Unfortunately, and this is a big unfortunate, my video card is in "the shop" right now, hopefully I'll have it back by tomorrow, and I can start into the game. I played the demo a couple nights ago, and it was amazing. :drool: Never have I had more fun throwing boxes at other boxes. :odd: The Ravenholm level was kind of creepy, but lots of fun as well. I'm very much so looking forward to getting online and playing CS: Source as well. Will keep in touch. ;)
 
Well, I thought that HL2 was just an overhyped game that wasn't that great. Boy I was wrong. My bro got sick of it and CS:S so he let me use his Steam account. I have been playing it non-stop for the past 4 hours. The game is freaking amazing. Now I see what all the commotion was about. It's so freaking fun! I'm currently on the Buggy levels.

I run all the settings on High with 2X AIF and 2X AA. I've got a 2600+, Radeon 9800pro, and 1GB of ram.

Now, CS:S is another story. I'm absolutely terrible at it... My overall record is like 15kills-40deaths. It's bad. I guess I should play more to get experience. Anybody wanna play sometime?
 
I haven't played Source in months thanks BF2. :P

I'm not sure if it works for the rest of the Source players, but if you don't play Source after a few weeks, then start it up, the time it takes to start the game can increase. I'm guessing becaused it hasn't been update.

Source is fantastic on the Custom made maps.
 
I agreeee!! CS:S and HL: DM/CTF has some crazy freaks on it. They're better than robots. But I still love to play CTF. I go by NitrousZ28. Hope to see some of you on there!

Also, I cant wait for HL2: Lost coast to come out!
 
Can someone tell me if there is another way to change the advanced video settings in Half-Life 2? Whenever I do it using options, I get this error: 'The Instruction at 0x####### referenced memory at 0x#######. The memory could not be 'read'

I don't know how to fix it,, but my computer is crap compared with what other PC gamers have (Try running Half-Life 2 on an un-upgraded Dell Dimension 2400).
 
OK well we might as well use this thread as a place to organize Counterstrike Source games. I play pretty much every night until the wee hours of the morning. And I'm still not very good. :dopey: So if anyone wants to get a game going just post a message here.
 
HL2 Lost Coast free level just came out, Pretty good level except its too short :(

Can the Lost Coast level be played on a system that doesnt meet the requirements? My cpu, memory and vid card dont meet the requirements but not by much.
 
I like the commentry really shows you the details of this HDR lighting they added.
 
Whoa what did I miss? Lost Coast? I heard of it but is it available on single player or to play on multiplayer online? Thanks for the heads up.
 
I will have to remember to check that out this weekend if I get a chance. I looked at the specs and my comp should be able to handle it. Good thing I upgraded to 1 gig when I bought my comp about a year ago. Thanks for the info.
 
Yes i can also confirm you don't actually need the minimum specs. I've played it now and am impressed. The HDR is beautiful. Yes it's a short demo but it's quite fun and very cool. Just make sure you turn on the commentry, it's pretty good.

The nicest looking part is probably the water at the start of the demo. Check out the sand with the pebbles under water, why not go for a swim. Just make sure you look around at the start of the demo as you won't get the chance at the end.
 
Well my specs arent are kinda close to you guys. AMD 1800(1.53ghz), 512MB PC3200(running at 266mhz. stupid cpu), GF4 Ti4600........Well ok maybe they arent close.

ugh, I hate steam running all day and it still says unreleased. I hate to restart it to "detect" that ot's available. Steam sucks...
...anyone else think HL2 is overrated?
 
Your lucky none of the people who play HL2 and CS: Source everyday, has not blasted you yet mate. You either brave, or just walking on thin ice, to these people who are in CS: Source clans.

Or a clan in any HL2 mod mate.
 
Well, I've been a part of the HL community for a long time but damn... delay after delay..I guess I was expecting more. Plus the original was supposed to have HDR. Oh well. I hope LC is everything HL2 didnt have. Only 8mins left. :)

I had to tell it to D/L a couple of times before it came through. I guess a lot of people are trying to D/L it today.

You played it yet then?
 
Just finished.. freakin' awesome.. but literally about a 15minute demo moreless. :(
Enjoy every second, cause it doesnt last long AT ALL. :crazy: :ill: :(
 
Funny How Gabe ask's yopu to email him at the end about the commentry, I really hope they add this type of commentry in their futre releases, so I emailed him.
