A part of me is a bit against this photo manipulation thing, but I have to confess that some of the results are fantastic and they would never be possible with only a camera.

Anyway, I got Photoshop yesterday and here's my very first photo manipulation: :D

A photo manipulation contest sounds great, btw (although probably I won't enter any).

Well, nothing at all if you separate things properly.

I think that digital manipulation can take away a bit of merit from a good photographer, in the way that, just by pressing a mouse button, you can add an effect to a picture that only a good photographer would be able to come up with using a simple camera. (I could go on, but this example should be enough)

But then again, there are many things that you can do to a photo that are only accessible through digital manipulation - and very good they look, too. And it's great to have the option to do all that and much more. I like it and I'll use it, too.

I hope I made my point.

Neat. I like it. The color of the screen makes it look better. I think you could find pictures for the contest at google images or another search engines image search feature.

Nice one. :D

I took a few photos of my friend yesterday and I really like how one of them turned out. I'll post it later today.

What you did to your vehicle is called Photoshopping a car and you can post it here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1299620#post1299620 - if you wish to get comments on it. I don't know anything about your photosuite program, but if you want help you should make a thread with it or something, I would think. This is photo manipulation, you take a photo of something, other than a vehicle, and modify it to get an effect. sp? (is it supposed to be affect?)

320d? Or am I blind? Or stupid? I thought BMW didnt use d as an extension.
Yes, d (for Diesel, as iceburns288 pointed out). In Europe, at least...

BMW have been using them for years, in the 3, 5, 7 - and now 1 - series.

Older turbodiesel models used to be referred as td.

Yeah thanks everyone. I've never seen one...in fact, I don't think BMW sells diesels in the US market.

Just a quickie, I took the picture about 10 minutes ago and just added the border, text, some choice desaturation and adjusted the levels a little bit. This ones up for interpretation.

I'm tripped out by the black of the eye. It looks like it's a little cap. Looks cool. Color choice is nice as well.

I just discovered the Liquify tool today...
I can't stop laughing! This thing is so much fun.

EDIT:
I forgot to add.
