Ok I have to ask, but is the first race going to be on the 23rd or the 24th? Only I'm at work til 1am GMT time (about 8pm EST) on the 23rd, and have soccer training at 10:30am the following morning. I can make it to the 24th if that's when the race is.

The race is the 24th and I'll post the qualifying and race procedure... Again.... Later

I have decided we will not be using the G35 because it cant get to 450 HP

Ya but it costs a lot to mod that car and you have to finish a lot of races to get it to 450 and I don't think anyone will wanna put the time and effort in to be able to use it

No you don't. Stick in the Grand Valley B-Spec endurance race and restore it afterwards, it'll win easy in over 2 hours. Failing that, test it rigorously to perfect how you drive it. The latter that's highlighted is what I've been doing with my Audi. I can't say exactly how much mileage I've done in it, but I can safely say that I've done hours upon hours of testing. Oh and to get around the money issue, just do the nurburgring seasonal event that's available onine. Six and a half minutes for 500,000 credits is more than reasonable, and that's without including the max 200% bonus. If people are willing to choose the car, they're probably going to wanna put the effort into racing in it.

Ya I do the nurbugring event and get 1000000 credits and it's a fun track to drive

I'm a little confused at the spec's I am required to have with my Viper. do I bring the weight down to 1285 and don't add any engine mods and limit it to 450hp?

If that's the case would it be a problem to add at lease a sport exhaust to viper the stock sound is atrocious and I love the meatier sounds from the other exhaust upgrades. Favorite is semi-racing.

Bring the weight down as low as possible, then add weight ballasts to the car. Then just lower the power down, it has practically more than enough torque as it is, and adding other gear to the car will sacrifice high RPM torque heavily. I've tested every car, including the Viper, as well as those not actually included, and that's my personal opinion on that car.

I will fully tune both of my srt10 and see what I have to do to make them be able to race but I'm sure you can fully tune it with all the engine and weight reduction upgrades and make it series eligible because the vette I have is also fully tuned and I was able to tune it to be able to race in the series

This kinda bothers me how loose the regulations are for the cars... So I can have 50% power limiter at 450HP an still be race eligible. If that's the case I want to switch to the Ferrari 458. It will easily be the best car in the GT class.

The idea here though is to be sensible with your upgrades, I would have thought. I mean, maxing out my newer Audi R8 and lowering the bhp down actually hasn't really affected my performance any more or less than the one I'll actually be using. If I'm honest, the one I'm using for the event is .420 seconds quicker on Daytona based on my lap time charts, and they're practically identical aside from their power setup.

Oh, as for the 458 Italia being easily the best... That's a pretty big statement to make before the start of the event. Is there evidence that might back this up? Even if you do want to be that car, polarbear345 has already called dibs on it, so I'm not sure you can pick it. Ask though.

to clarify, you can use the ferrari. also the rules are as "loose" as they are to promote playing with upgrades. for example on some tracks my 458 needs the exaust upgrade and ill get way better acelleration. thats for the not long straight courses. for the long straight courses (monza) i dont need that upgrade and ill run the car all engine and ill have a quicker car on that track. so that summarized is that the rules are loose on purpose to force you to be creative with your upgrades. (i just wish we had a few more horsepower, i could do WONDERS with 475 :P)

If everyone is cool with 475 I'm cool with it hey since the LMP cars aren't at 500 any more who wants to use 500 HP for the GT cars

a little late to change it now, the rules havent been stable at all really maybe lets keep it like this for now and change later? but i wouldnt mind a little more. the rules will be changed so gt will be like 453(ish) as we cant police 450 at all because we cant set the hp limit at 450

Putting it at 475 will make the infinity G25 uncompetitive. I'm not asking to raise the power I'm saying some of the cars will be more dominate then others which will make a very unbalance and not fun race. Car with more downforce and larger power curves(Audi and Ferrari) will be much faster then the other cars that are barely making the HP limit(G25).

Phil, Niop and I used to race in the FIA GT3 championship and there we were trying replicate GT cars. We found its difficult without having a specific Spec for each car. If we all ran the cars at at HP weight reg, the car with larger power curve and more downforce would dominate.

I know this is very sudden with the first race taking place tomorrow but it seems that you might have not tested each car for competitive racing.

I'm not asking for a complete change right now as it would throw people off guard. I just want to put it out there so you can keep this in mind for next season or race series.

Ok thats fine I have already said we are getting rid of that car anyway so we can raise the HP to 475

That car wasn't competitive at 450 hp... Let's be honest. And I agree with the set limits for each car. The reason we didn't do it is that this being a multi class series policing is going to be tedious at best. Well have to change room settings enough as is. I do see where your coming from and I do agree, that limits for each car is the best way, right now as the first race is upon us now isn't the time. In your gt series there was like 7-8 different cars, all relatively similar. We have two totally different. If we had to do 6 (for a example) cars from each class that's 12 total. With people's patience at near to nothing, it just didn't seem to make too much sense. If the gap is totally crazy we will make changes.

I am not asking for a change at all just pointing out some things that are concerning me in overall balance...

So are we running fully tuned cars limited at 475hp or we only using enough upgrades to reach the limit?

I think that because its the first ever season of events, they're being flexible with it.

I honestly love the idea they have going and I want to see it a success. I will gladly offer help for next season to see it improve :)
