First attempt at a custom with Shift 2. I had this down to a fine art with Shift 1 so thought I'd resurrect it for the 2nd. Still not finished, but I've only had the game a few hours. (20 mins of fiddling to get to this stage)
Not quite up to Hondy's level but I'm gonna be spending a lot of time on this. Certainly getting rid of the Racing Hart vinyl, it's awful when stretched! (EDIT - replaced with Recaro, looks slightly better when stretched)

Latest little mess around with some vinyls, this time on the Austin Mini Cooper from the legends pack. I've added the hood stripes and the white roof, along with a mocked Cooper crest to make it look more like the more modern Cooper models. (Need to make the crest a little smaller though)

I've recently been messing around with using the same theme across several cars and have been getting some mixed results. Here goes nothing: (Click on the thumbnails for a larger version.)
Ford Capri - Still needs a little work, but is definitely getting to where I want it.
Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - Pretty close to finished, but not massively happy with it. There's something missing possibly?
Alfa Romeo 8C - Loving this one, need to redo the front slightly but is essentially finished.
Acura NSX - Originally I tried to make a GT500 replica livery, but quickly gave up in favour of this. Still a work in progress but fast becoming another favourite.
Ford Escort R1600 - Really love this one. Need to redo the arches slightly but other than that, it's finished.
Caterham Superlight - The one that started me off with this theme. It was supposed to be just a one-off livery, but I liked the way it turned out enough to try it on some others.

I have quite a few that are not finished, and only a few that are finished.
My Cobra, when done, will have a massive number of vinyls because it isn't a racing livery, it is a full out piece of artwork place on a car. The title of the art is "Epic Battle of Fire & Ice".
It is currently more than 60 layers on the top and 25 layers on each side and about 10 on the front. I have only the portion of the car in front of the windshield partially completed, I still have another layer of effects for the fire to put on it. I will be along the entire car also. So if there is a vinyl layer limit, this will probably find that limit by the time it is completed.
That is currently the only image I have of it available. I had to make the ice completely from different vinyls. The lava is just one of the camo vinyls.
I still have to place lava bursting and scratching onto the top of the ice. I might even add some steam if I can figure out how that might work.
This is just one of those "I wanted to push the boundaries of what I had been seeing and showoff a bit" moments.

I used to have Shift 2 until I took an arrow to the knee. I sold it a few months ago and I have pictures I still have, but I have no idea how to upload.

First attempt at a realistic livery. I used a ton of gradient 6 for the carbon fiber on the roof, and getting the black background on the license plate area was the hardest part. Whole livery took me ~3.5 hours
Orange is the only color a McLaren should ever be
. The white on the side was rather difficult, this livery took about 2 hours. The orange square on the wing is a Cheez-It, it's also on the Merc on the right side above the door.The move function is a 🤬 pain, but I'm getting the hang of it
I'm thinking either a LFA or Alfa 8C for my next one...

Wow...WTH my yume kobo RX7 livery is gone, and the car is just gray...Really? Does anyone have any information about why this happens, and how i can get my Livery back?? ...this is some BS.
