Ever hear of the Viper ACR?
Or the Mosler MT900?
Or the Ford GT?
Or the Ford GT-40?
Or the Saleen S7?
Or the Rossion Q1?*
Seems like >1 car to me....

*- Technically an M400 reskined, but still "manufactured" in 'Merica.

In fairness, the GT40 was English designed, built and engineered, courtesy of Lola. With some men from Aston Martin also chipping in.

Or, you discuss cars in the "cars in general" forum.

Need a link? Here you go : Cars in general.

You cannot talk about America's achievements in racing without mentioning these guys.

Either move it to the Cars in general sub-forum or stop discussing it now.

The next off topic comment will earn my annoyance.

Scaff

i see alot of ppl are saying no because it wouldnt be realistic but think about it you can put any motor in any car yea you have to do a great amount of frame work and alot of custom **** i personally have a ls1 in my s13 240sx. ive seen big blocks in rx-7s anything is possible i vote yes to swaps.

This is what a guy said. He has a corvette engine in his 240sx LOL

That's another "He's probably full of crap, but his claim isn't really that ludicrous" one. I think the only thing you need to do to drop an LSx into a 240 is order a custom oil pan.

I don't find that ridiculous at all. I have seen a Toyota v8 stuffed into a 240 before and an rx7 with a small block, so it's very possible.

I like how he lives in California, but his location says Eastern US.:odd:

He may just be there right now. His testing commitments with Chevy probably demand that he be present at Sebring to test the C7. Probably.

Might want to Google that claim next time around. It's been done numerous times. Nate Hamilton (a local pro-drifter) has one with a LS2 in it.

Can someone tell me if it is that ludicrous to say that my father had a 512? Yes this is true but I hate to bring up on this site because nobody believes that someone can be successful and afford a nice car. Besides, I'm not claiming that it's mine or anything. I unfortunately can't provide proof because the car was sold in 2004 and I can't find any pictures. So what do you guys think? Am I making a ludicrous claim?

Oh, well I guess I'm ludicrous (inserts a picture of the rapper and maybe even the first image on google of a 512). Doesn't mean much to me anyway.

It has nothing to do with not believing, that is quite a naive statement to make and one to gain sympathy. The problem is this is the interwebz yo! Meaning that people will just put bull:censored: just for the purpose of looking good, and misleading a group of people. Also asking for a bit of proof isn't a big deal or shouldn't be to those who are making the claim. If I were to say I have a ford GT I should be able to go out to my garage take a picture and put something GTP related by it thus making quick proof.

That simple. It is the type of thing that too many people crying wolf when there isn't one have ruined it for those who actually see a wolf.

My point was that this thread is for calling people out. Not for announcing that you may make one.

He claims to test concepts of different brands: where this does exist for component manufacturers (e.g. Delphi here in Luxembourg) or specialists in a domain e.g. www.lmsintl.com for sound reduction and stiffness of the frame; it seems highly improbable again. Concepts is just something you want to protect, you will send a mystery product to the other party that has the components essential for their work, but misses the complete picture.

Any supercar owner will tell you that when they buy their car, their camera breaks. Everyone knows that.

It is an unfortunate side effect. Also, your phone usually breaks and photobucket refuses to load. Common problems here...

Their cars are too sexy for photographs.

I forgot, astro I have so much to learn!

Don't worry, mate! That's what's keeping me from buying an Enzo I found at a dealership. I really like my camera, and don't want it to break.

It seems like he's trying to pretend I didnt even exist. Isn't there some rule which says if he can't prove it, he gets modsmacked?
