I remembered it being rapid transit, and it was the only search on google that came up with anything close to dodge. So maybe my google skills suck

No biggie; your avatar is a picture of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, so it's all good... :D 👍

maybe not... I'm quite sure Google's results are strongly based on where you're connecting from (I get most results from Spanish websites), so maybe there weren't many R/T sources around... look ast the following 2-3 pages and something should turn up.

Back on track, the '64 Tempest LeMans GTO (or GTO/Goat for short :D ).
For racecars, it's all about the '63 C2 Vette Z06. Two excellent cars.

Lotus Elan S1 or Europa Special. You can't beat a good old lightweight British sports car. I'm also a fan of the Triumph Spitfire 1500. Not very quick, but there's the chance of some snap oversteer.

And I've got to mention the Shelby Cobra. Everyone comments on the poor sounds of American V8s, but this one sounds great. But it's just so damn tricky to drive on normal tyres.

I dont think anyone mentioned this beauty which surprises me....

AC Cobra 427 S/C - Old Skool, Badass and best of all BRITISH!

that's funny of you to say, especially since your sig features the Viper, an American car... Oh well... It's not like I'm a Seat fan either, so

You don't like re-badged Volkswagens???

Speaking of VW's, the Mk I GTI is one of the few FWD's I respect, and another "Oldskool" car I like. 👍

Old school VW Beetle! I love bombing around the 'Ring in that thing. I'll put something heavy on the X button when its goin up a hill, go make coffee, and come back just as its reaching the crest at the top, lol.

No it doesn't. It stands for Road/Track.

I thought this was cleared up in the previous page...

What about a car made out of something you put your butt on?

That's just hideous :yuck: Extreme car washing is the only thing that comes to mind

i love the 1983 civic and crx. the 1.5l sohc inline 4 is great. i love driving stock or near stock versions at the nurburgring.

Toyota 2000GT 1967, Silver.

Amazing car. been driving the Nurb'ring round of the 1000miles european championship on N3 tires, close ratio box, semi race suspension and light weight stage 3. The race is a walk over but I just wanted a retro car that handled. It feels as planted as a BMW although that may be due to it being abit slower (120mph top speed). still trying to get a sub 9min lap with it though, current best is 9min 02secs.

3. bmw 2002 turbo
2. nissan skyline 67
and screw all the high powered stuff
1. FIAT PANDA!
honest to god, my favorite car in the game

The Alfa Spider Duetto 1600 '66.
Drove every mile of 1000miles! in that, never missed a beat. Did most of it on N1 - N3 tyres with no other upgrades or oil change. Absolutely lovely drive.
Looking forward to going back through that championship in some of the other classics too.
Also like the Jensen Interceptor III '74, simply because its as old as I am! It's a bit unwieldy and wears tyres too quickly in stock form to be competetive in most arenas and the 3-speed transmission can be a drag, I'm still trying to find somewhere for it to shine.

love all the usual classic like the ginetta g4, bmw 2002 etc... but this thread cant continue with out atleast a mention of the 240Z... absolutly love this old school monster.

the ginetta g4 is FREAKING awsome car! i did the 1000 miles in it i think. with the mods i did to it i hauled ass. 170hp/173lb-ft and it only weighs 413kg. its great!

the bmw 2002 is also good but the 4 speed isnt the best out there. it downshifts great though.

i dont like any of the muscle cars as they handle like crap, stop even worse and sound like crap!

and the tvr v8s isnt a classic as it is a 91 model.

O well the lok sure as hell fooled me. Thanks for that info i thought it was like a 70 somehting. Ok well i thkn that triump spitfire 200-?? Is that old.

I don't own much old cars right now, but I really love the Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA and the Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing in my garage right now.

Top 3 old cars of mine pre-75:

1.Jaguar E-Type
2.Lancia Stratos
3.Toyota Celica TA22

I also have a soft spot for the Chevelle SS and the Lotus Europa.

Mafs!!

the spitfire is a classic but its very slow. small engine and incorrect gearing i think.

more of my favorites are the alpine a110s. it looks sweet. the old 69 skyline and bluebird are also good.

as for race cars, the chaparrel 2d is great looking. i only wish it had more then three gears! it'll still do over 200 though...

i have a vw beetle that runs low 13s in the quarter. thats kinda fun... i've never driven it anywhere else though.

how about the renault 5 turbo? i like that thing.
