As I mentioned in another thread cursing the B8 license test (which I see from various comments on the 'net that the PAL version is noted as being particularly difficult), I managed to finally get under 42.800, being the time needed for gold.
I'd started chasing this license test early last year, but gave up in disgust after getting to within 18 thousandths of a second, so you can imagine my joy, after another hour and a half of working on it, of finally getting gold and picking up that sky blue Miata.
The funny thing is, I now have the taste to go and finish the job of getting golds. I only have two bronzes (both on the S Licenses), about 19 silver and the remaining are golds. In the little half hour session I managed to clean up another two golds on the A licenses, so I'm on my way.
Funny the benefits that come with a long break. You know what I reckon's done it? Grand Prix Legends - you have to be so careful with the brake and the throttle in that game in managing weight transfer - I'm not much chop in that game, but I have improved somewhat, and I think it's brushed off on to GT3.
I should be nice and ready for GT4....
