Once and for all, is there any way to play an imported copy of gt4 on a US ps2?

I've looked at several threads here but i cant seem to find a direct answer... So what are the ways(if any) to play gt4 on a US ps2?

You have to get a mod chip to play Japanese games on the US PS2. I'm not sure how/where/how much they cost .. someone else is bound to take care of that. The mod chip does void the warranty, however. Ooooor you could just wait for the US release like the rest of us.

Swapmagic won't work last time I heard.

You will need a "newer" modchip with support of DVD9 imports. Swapmagic does not let you play DVD9 games (import or copies)
