I might add that the last thing GT4 needs is YAS (yet another skyline).
Aerial Atom springs to mind, but I'm sure there's plenty more exotica that would offer a vastly different experience as opposed to more of the same.

Another Skyline, 4 door or not, floats my boat like a brick on water.
they should take out all of them that there are more then one of like the gtrs. have one awd turbo, rwd turbo, rwd 4 door turbo, rwd 4 door non turbo and rwd non turbo for all models. thats 15 skylines plus a coupe and sedan model of the r31 and the kpgc10. 18 skylines sounds fine.

I think we've established that for starters, there are way too many skylines. Don't get me wrong, I love the line... but how about a sierra cosworth or Torana or....... the list is endless.

Too true. GT needs more of everything and less of nothing. I love skylines, I try to use as many as possible.VIPERGTSR01I dissagree with most, there isnt too many Skylines at all, there just isnt enough other cars to even it out.

It doesn't need more cars that are similar to what it has already, at least, not to the detriment of leaving others out, but it needs cars that the majority will use. It seems obvious to say, but 99% of players would try out every Ferrari or every Porsche that was in the game. The Skyline above? It doesn't matter to a lot of players whether it's there or not.

ummmmm I take I'm the only one who's noticed that even though there's 44000 skyline's, there aint a single FR with the newer--96' or so bodystyle? that's just about all I see are FR & yet none in GT4

Seriously, an old boss I had owned a 450hp R33 GTR and it was a real nice car, when I had rides in it it was a quick, sorted car. But he later had a 355 and it was a far nicer car in every way. Everyone has opinions and mine is that I'd try every type of Ferrari they could put in the game, there are classic '60s cars right up to brand new modern cars and that's not counting the various successful race cars too. The Skyline is good, but it doesn't have the heritage of Ferrari and most of the Skylines in the game have minor variances, not the big differences that are in the Ferrari history.

It's kinda weird they didn't include the R33/34 FR Skylines though.. Since I'm drifting in GT4, those would be good fun 
Swapping out some of the various spec GT-Rs with those would work for me, even though they probably just reuse the graphics of the other ones and don't take up much space on the discs...
Other cars I'd love to see: Mk2 Ford Escort and Capri, 80s Sierra Cosworth, Opel GT and Manta B, and.... more lightweight FRs (obviously)

Ford Taunus GT 2.3, Opel Ascona 2.5, Audi Coupe quattro 2.3.. i could keep this list going on for ages.. but no, we have to have dozens of skylines.. not that they would be bad, on the contrary, it's a magnificent piece of engineering.. But, PD should bring out other sports cars as well, not only japanese and american ones..

You're all forgeting the GTS4 skyline too, I'm pretty sure they only made it in the R32 and 33 models.

zzzz. not this again, i turn my back for like a few months and here comes the skyline complaints!
right. we all KNOW there is a rediculous number of skylines in the game. what a lot of people dont seem to realise is that it takes 1/1000th the time to "tweak" a V-SPEC into a V-SPECII than it does to create a totally new car.
what does this mean? it means that you get a lot of cheap, quick n easy skylines that are very-very similar and yet all have different weight/power after tuning. meaning that theres always the search for the perfect example.
on the other hand. if they had included 1R32 GTR, 1 R33 GTR and 1 R34 GTR and left out all the visually identical (carbon hood does NOT count here) versions they "may" have manged to get a small way into modeling a new unique car.
Lots of variations of the same car is what seperates the GT series from Forza. whilest theyve figured out exactly what the best cars are (Tommy Kaira M20b and Ferrari F355 Challenge come to mind) GT has such an array of cars, no matter how similar, you could spend YEARS trying them all.
and thats why theres NOTHING wrong with adding skylines for "free"
