i spotted that when i was taking you on the inside of 200R, i used to be like you but my advice is that you can move to the centre more then you think(if your our on the outside), the trick is imagine where the apex would be in the middle of the track, this way you will be hitting the apex when the guy on the inside will meaning you have more road to race on..you want to be doing exactly what the guy on the inside is doing at exactly the same time, this means you have 3/4's of the track instead of 1/2 or less. i hope that makes sense.Ack, tell me about it. I constantly get into those situations on Dunlop and 200R, and I can never hold my line well, partly because I'm using a Viper, partly because I get nervous trying to avoid contact.
I can usually keep a good battle going in the Esses though and everywhere else on the track, its just those two corners, especially when I'm on the outside, I usually have to slow down and allow the other person through, because I know I'm going to lose control.
i'm with you on this one, if they are reasonably close to me, i will give up the racing line and race on the outside, it makes for better racing and that's what it's all about for me, not getting the P1 every race. Zabeu, AERO_HDT and many others adopt this approach. these are the people i have had the best racing with.I disagree. Unless it's high speed or "No overtaking" corner, if someone even has his front wheel by my rear quarter panel I'll give racing room, not concede my position. If I can battle on and hold my position on the outside then that is crafty racing my friend. Just because someon is trying to overtake you doesn't mean you have to concede. Defensive lines aren't bad either, but blocking is. I choose to race as you would in real life primarily, it adds to the experience.
Unless you're at fully along side me, expect to get your nose chopped off in those circumstances... I know my braking points are good and it's unlikely anyone will outbrake me from that far back so I'll only give room if you're level with me or I get the feeling you're going to hit me whatever I do.
*meant in 3rd person, not specifically aimed at you nd 4 holden!
Most important factor for me is who your racing against. If it's a tagged racer (or someone you've raced before) then you can probably trust them to do the right thing 99% of the time. If it's someone I don't know then I always think the worst and make sure I make a clean pass before the braking zone.
Very rarely would I try to go 2 wide in to a corner.
I can second bad experiences with these two, but GT5net_Grinceur and GT5net_Vulcan28 have been by far the two fairest/clean and good drivers i've come across from the GT5 lotfor the Tag thing i've lost my trust in GT5net racers now..i've had 3 bad experiences with these guys, i'm not saying all of them are bad but the ones i have raced side by side with, have either rammed me off or done something similar. today GT5net racer that punted me off was GT5net_Korsair!
haha this happened to me on T1 when i was trying to take you on the inside, my front wheel was near your rear quarter. i just about managed to brake and keep close to you without touching. i knew where i stood after that haha

WayneGT on French ForumOnline Code of Conduct
1. Any contact with walls & barriers is strictly prohibited (Wall surfing)
2. Aggressive driving is strictly prohibited
3. Contacts and collisions must be avoided at all costs
4. Pushing other cars in turns or pushing them off the track is strictly prohibited
5. Leaning on other cars is strictly prohibited in any situation
6. In case of too-late-braking before a turn, drivers should seek any alternative to a collision with cars infront - including going off the track due to his own error
7. When defending your position, driving line can be changed only once per duel (going off line and returning to previous line)
8. If you gain a position as a result of an accidental impact or shortcut etc., you must allow the other driver to re-pass you when in position to do so. If you cause the car you've hit to spin out of track or got stuck in sand/grass, you have to wait for him to get out, overtake you and then continue the race.
9. It is prohibited to commence returning to the track after going-off before you're certain that you'll be no danger for other cars on that section of the track
10. When exiting the pit-lane you have to obey the safety pit-exit-line
11. Cutting the chicanes or "shorting" the track at any point is strictly prohibited on all parts of the track, including the asphalt-areas in behind out-of track-lines
12. Drivers are obliged to follow the race so he can let lapping cars pass when it's needed. Deliberate slowing-down of lapping cars is strictly prohibited
13. Drivers behind a car allowing lapping cars to pass must refrain from overtaking him until all faster cars have passed
14. When approaching the turn/apex of turn, the car which "holds" the inner side of turn has entrance-advantage and other driver(s) must refrain from endangering him by his actions
15. It is strictly prohibited to look for a pass on places where configuration of the track does not allow for many cars to drive in parallel, or on spots where it could endanger other drivers on track
16. Drivers who are using PS2/PS3 controller MUST make additional effort in driving due to the fact they can't use side-view, and their perception of the other cars is thereby limited - extreme caution while maneuvering is required
17. If a driver wants to retire from a race, he must not exit the race. He must find a position on the track where he will not endanger other drivers, "park" his car and wait for the race to end
sorry for my retarded driving cashwars i only had the energy in me for one race, well 3/4(i spun off before the long straight on the last lap). soooo tired xD.
Strange though as these are their rules they (are supposed to) abide by when racing online.

yeh that's what i was thinking, maybe the forum doesn't emphasis the importance of the rules? or peope are joininggt5netxxxx-forum without reading the rules?
Well (unfortunately) that applies here at GTP too
Not mentioning names.

has anyone else noticed that the leader is slower? most of my laps when i am leading are 2.19's, and when i am in p5 or something maybe -10secs from P1 my laps go down to 2.15/2.16 odd? but then when your about 5secs away the rubberband effect turns off?
hes also very fast at ramming people off....in fact it was almost like me was trying to make sure i went off.edit, btw, alrightmate is very very fast in that evo!! 👍
yeh they are normally v high 2.19's or very low 2.20's. you hardly see any sub 7 mins anymore.I cant get under 2:20....

Really? I regularly see sub 7 minute race times... A mid/high 2'19 first lap if starting from pole, and 2'18-2'19's after that... unless someone falls way behind, then lap times fall in to the 2'20 bracket. But I almost never see lap times of above 2'21 unless I make a big mistake.
