Thanks. The first race we were in together, you started 1st, I started 10th, so by the time I got to 2nd you were 10 seconds clear. So then I lowered my car's pp's and made it my mission to win from you without you going off, but you are really hard to overtake, you know. And the hosts didn't really allow us to race eachother for 3 laps when we where together. :ouch:

I enjoyed this afternoon's races too. Raced against a few GTP-ers, mainly GTP_racer_LP, and managed to beat him once... :) Video uploading...

In one race, I was behind GTP_yannc as he lost the back end and spun. Looking at the video replay I recorded, it looks like the game thought I hit him, but from my point of view as I was driving, I didn't.

No problem :D The gap in that race went from 2.5 seconds to 0.9 to 3.something and then you nearly got me on the line...

I remember we were close at the finish, but I can't seem to remember the rest of that race. I'd like to see the video :)

No, not in a bad way at all. I could get next to you a couple of times, but not far enough to overtake you in the next corner so I had to back off again.

Are races happening on a schedule now? If so what is the time count? I've seen some gtp racers at suzuka...

Sorry for the slight contact GTP_sircrashalot coming out of the hairpin. You understeered wide and I intentionally took the wide entry/ tight exit thinking that might happen. I left room on the outside but I guess you didn't see me.

Had lots of fun races today. Thanks to Sphinx, Hyperuk, Truth123, Captainslow, Beerz, and a couple of others aswell. đź‘Ť

No worries. I could have put a nose under you in the exit of the final chicane but didn't want to take a chance of you not seeing me and me dumping you in the kitty litter since I was on the inside. I had more speed going into that chicane but you got the power down better in the Clio than me in the R8. The R8 has grip but is slow on the low end (and the high end too actually!). I almost got you on the line, but your little clio is faster in a straight line.

Feel free to stick your nose in, I always use my mirrors and know when someone is along side, and will always try and give room, harder in the Clio compared to a well setup R8, but still plenty able to slow down a bit and let a clean racer through. There is always the straight's. :)

Getting a better feel for the Clio again, feels very simular to before now, just a tiny bit more angry. :crazy: See you all tomorrow. đź‘Ť

No problem but I wasn't understeering at all. I was just coming out of the hairpin and steering to the outside of the turn, like it should be but I use the bumpercam and didn't see you at all. I'm not use to go online. I still need to find out which is the best car for me and find some setup that suits me. I was also playing with the ingame settings (brakes) a lot and wasn't paying attention to the races itself, LOL.

Regardless, you went high and I went low and on exit our bumpers met (softly), I too use bumper cam, but we both held our line and finished 1/2. Just didn't want any hard feelings.

nice racing you benannt! are you racing on PAL or is Suzuka 600 a WE event? because i have seen quite a few US in there. i'd also like to thank GTP_sircrashalot, he knows what he did:sly: Red Lancia...

Yes, I'm a US PAL racer.

I'm not new to OLR, I raced for another board in GT2/3/4, but when I came back to GT I found that that board was gone (GTX) and to race with the fast guys I remembered/knew I needed a PAL disc.

I have a NTSC disc but rarely race NTSC. The level of racing is much higher in PAL. WE are fine, but have too much lag in my experience. I can't see the PAL/NTSC split going away anytime soon.

Rubber Band Effect will absolutely DESTROY the online racing experience. Do you hear us, PD? DESTROY! I'm perfectly capable of deciding for myself how much car and how much skill I need to bring to make a good race, and SO IS EVERYBODY ELSE! But you cannot hit a moving target - you cannot adjust for something that adjusts itself all the time, and BADLY.

Please, Yamauchi-san, do not do this to us.
 
Just to let you guys know. I was on the grid for Suzuka 600PP @ 10.12 - and I was disconnected from the server. I didn't quit deliberately.
BT are incapable of providing me a reliable service just because I'm a measly 7.5kms from the exchange. It's only a half meg connection ffs. :grumpy:

Highlights were chasing Sphinx for a lap which ended with an hilarious you-can-see-the-crash-coming-for-a-mile overtaking "attempt", and a few good races with flo76 from GTRP.

I've had a few of those moments with Sphinx. I bet he just shakes his head laughing:)
 
sphinx is like max biaggi but in the car...he is king of the brakes...you can never beat him on the brakes!!!!

how many people out there now on suzuka? i might come if there's a big turn out.

I won 2 races came 2nd and another came 3rd
Also I got a 2:18!!! a new record that wasnt recorded because of online.... :P

Pressure...hmmm I try not looking behind and focus on course more :D

I hate it when people wont accept someone is pass you,,,
because when you overtake they block or ram...
