I say it's worth it, I've had the adapter for a while, and it makes the replay value of all of your online games much higher.

I posted a question about this somewhere else, but can't remember what I called it and can't find it so... apologies to those who may have read/answered me before.. but..

With the PS2 Network (Ethernet) adapter.. Is it a case of connecting the adapter to a HUB whic is connected to the net... ??

I have a LAN in my home with 5 machines running on it, and the LAN is connected to the internet via a 1mb/s adsl connection (from my ISP).

Do I simply connect the PS2 ethernet adapter to my router/hub like another PC machine and I am automatically connected to my broadband connection.. ?? Or, does the PS2 require a special broadband account with a specific ISP.. ??

I will happily buy the ethernet adapter if I can use my existing LAN/Internet connection, but I certainly aren't going to pay for yet another broadband ISP just to use my PS2 online.. !!

Any comments appreciated.. :)

I still haven't found a way to connect online when my computer is on, I have to turn it off before the network adapter will work, but I guess it's better than unpluging the ethernet cord out of the back of my computer everytime I want to go play online with my PS2, btw I have a hub that connects my PS2, and my computer

I`m thinking about getting the Ps2 network adapter and Midnight club 2.

You think it would be worth the 100 bucks?
Does the hundred cover both the adapter AND the game ?

Well...yes
But we use kronor here so it`s a little more then 1000 kronor and that is like 100 dollars

But I traded in some old games to get the game cheaper

One more thing, can you surf the internet with that thing, and how does that look and work?

I know you use kronors. So do we except ours is called kroner and is slightly less devaluated ;) 1000 sek is closer to US$ 125.

Anyway - How much is the network adapter in sweden. Over here it's 449 dkk (550 sek). If it's cheaper in sweden I might as well buy it across the bridge...

No internet unfortunately... But who knows what the future will bring ;)

Thanks man 👍

actually you can surf the internet if you buy the I think it's 40 gig hard drive, and the linux package. But I have only seen them on ebay so far. It a hard item to find.

not that I know of, unless there is an internet browser disk that they are giving you, and I never heard of anyone creating one

I think Midnight Club 2 is coming to the PC soon, maybe wait for that, unless you really want to go online with the PS2. (Gameshark/action replay is ruining it though.)
