okay most of you should know that I am a Japanese guy living in New Zealand. Well you do now anyhow.

If you have some Japanese text you want me to translate to english, post here.

I'll try to be quick with the job.

If you have WinXP you can set Japanese characters to be displayed by going to control panel then in the location and language options.

Actually ‚Ç‚¤‚¼‚æ‚낵‚_(douzoyorosiku) is like saying, 'please remember my name' Its often incorrectly translated to what you said.

‚Í‚¶‚߂܂µ‚Ä(hajimemasite) is 'Hello I have met you for the first time'

I use MS Mincho as my CJK font, but I can't see what you've posted. (I'm also not using WinXP, but WinMe.)

You have to have at least one "unicode" font that permits these types of characters (up to 65536 glyphs per font).

I've noticed that you have to use a strange code to get kanji/kana to appear normally throughout your regular posts:

&#12399
&#12400
&#12401
(quote post to see how it's done)

This gave me: ha, ba, pa. I wish I had a chart that showed me the code for each character I want to use.

It's good to know someone knows Japanese quite well, I took two courses in college, but I haven't taken the classes in 5 years. Which means I can't remember a whole lot other than how to order correctly from a sushi bar and get great service.

I dont have an english PC now. I used to. Anyway you need to install Microsofts Global IME program to type in another language using the old english keyboard.

Yeah, it was a while ago that I did japanese, the teacher wasn't all that good, she ended up leaving after she hit a kid over the head with a rolled up newspaper.

Heh: "Notepad" = "Memo-Chou"... Makes sence.

And: Outlook = Den-Shi-mee-ru...(electronic mail)

When you say you are such as such years old - excuse me typing in roomaji but I can't get the Japanese stuff to work cause I aint go Windows XP, is there a Kanji for sai?
