Open top cars?

This would be a great topic for the photomode section. There aren't many in GT6.

I always found weird how in GT4 convertibles were raced with the top open, same "standard" model, then in the upcoming games that feature was removed. For GT6 it'd be great to have the roof open at least only on "standard" models, via an update, as it can't be that taxing resource wise with those right.

Also I have a question: can you still close the top of the California in GT6, like it was possible in GT5 in the GT Auto menu?

The only other open top down cars we can use are, the MX-5 TC, Prowler, Caterham and Cobra. Would be nice to have the TVR and Z3 tops down.
 
Would love to drive the mercedes SL 55 (convertible) but somehow it only drives with the roof up! Also, If they make the convertible SRT Dodge Viper into a premium and drive it with the roof down, that would really amazing!

I don't understand why you can't chose roof up or roof down. They allow it for the z8, but nothing else. Seems just lazy to me.

On some cars where the top is closed, you can go to the gt auto body custom parts for headlights and select to have the top opened for3,000. Not quite so obvious, but its a way to make a few cars convertible.

Because that would give the player choices, and we can't have that blasphemy in GT! That's not the PD way :sly:
