Do you use matte paint chips?

I don't know how many have picked up on this yet....but if you buy the Black Edition w/Bird '78 Trans Am, the pinstriping will be retained with a repaint, albeit in white (as will the super-chicken decals) and the specially-painted headlamp buckets will revert to normal. Much better, detailed look for the matte paintjob, IMO, but equally appreciable in colour.
I thought you couldn't repaint the ones with birds!

Not true to be honest, just google 'gloss black wheels', even the stock red C7 Corvette has gloss black wheels I believe.
Sorry I meant any wheels I choose to paint black, are only getting painted matte black.

Sorry for the confusion.

I am actually not a huge muscle car fan. :O *runs away quickly*

The two best things about America, ever.

For me it is really the Vette. My biggest dream is to own a C1 convertible some day. Cruise with listening to the V8 and this:

I love Corvettes, I would probably choose one over a Chevelle any day, but we're iconic for the big horsepower war in the late 60's between Ford, Chevy (GM, because Pontiac was there as well), and Mopar.

I dig Matte paint jobs. It can help make a car more exotic. My decked out Gallardo has a matte yellow paint job and it looks great, I just wish I could paint the GT wing matte too =P

Where'd you get matte yellow?

But damn, the firebird in matte white with a black bird! Even better.

I never paint my cars matte. Although, I have three cars painted in matte:

Audi R8 4.2 and 5.2. I fell in love with the matte blue color Audi used on the V10 Plus, and ever since, I`ve painted all my R8`s in matte blue.

The last car I have in matte, is the Lamborghini Reventon. The only reason is that the Revonton is only availible as a matte color, but the Reventon suits the matte color more than any car I can think of.

The rest of my collection though, isn`t matte colored. Simply because I despise most cars in a Matte color.

I won it in a seasonal event or something... I forgot how I got it tbh XD But yeah Matte's cool.
Aww, I missed quite a few because I wasn't good enough to get gold. I didn't know about the magic "I win" button that is skid recovery force.

I'm not good enough to be competitive in the online rankings. I just play the seasonal events to win the paint chips.

If I really try, I can usually be on the top 5000, but I'd rather spend time in other games like Idolm@ster 2. :D

On topic: Bright matte colors look great on the Murcielago SV.

I missed a few things myself by virtue of not getting the game until February.

Allow me to blow your mind again re:TAs. Have you caught yet that only gold TAs will give you the tan interior? AND that only the two Special Editions will give you extra "Pontiac" decals; one over the DS low-beam, one over the PS tail lamp. Also the way the "Trans Am" decals go gothic when you repaint a car.

You fiend! I now have a truly crazy collection of over 20 TAs thanks to this thread!:cheers:

I noticed the gothic thing. I own one trans Am, it was originally the black special edition, now I swap it between matte white and black.

Uh-uh, not gonna work, fiend:lol:. You MUST now get a gold Special Edition as well for the tan interior!:cheers:

Black is awesome though. I'm not so sure about tan...
Trust me. Light blues, medium greens, deep reds, many more are spectacular against that tan! I also used it with Lapis Lazuli, Nero, regular matte black, matte dark grey; while using the black interior with matte grey and gold and silver chrome.

Not big on chrome bodies, but I do like matte and metallic. They look pretty good on muscle cars.
It's late, going to have to pick this up in the morning.

I see ya, no worries. I don't normally plate my cars either, but for this car I just HAD to:lol:. I have the subdued silver, bright silver, gold and copper, and the gold (black interior) and subdued silver (black) are just awesome. I'll have to change the wheels to get the most out of the other two.
I know this is off topic re: matte, but it's your thread and you can tell me to hush any time:lol:. Black Cherry Metallic from the Chevelle and Smaragdschwarz (a really smoky transparent dark blue, but DEEP) from (hopefully; if not, it can be obtained with the '98 SLK 230 Kompressor from Mercedes for just over 42k credits) your solid paint list: Do it! With tan interior!:cheers:

But only the douchebags in my high school drove Trans Ams.
That was so true I had to wipe my eyes from laughing before replying:lol:. But this is 2014, and considering where cars have gone since 1978, That TA is about as retro-cool as GT6 has for this version and at 30k credits, the cheapest to mess with:lol:. I personally would have MUCH preferred a 70 model. White with baby blue pinstripes. OH!
excuse me please:cheers:

I love black cherry metallic, all of my claseic Chevy's are painted with it. And try Dusk Blue metallic from the vintage Camaro SS, lovely on cars with this body type.

I don't even... :p.

I would have preferred a '77, because smokey and the bandit!

If you put Black Cherry with a black interior I will personally report you to the Pontiac club folks:lol:

I won't argue with you there, but when I watch the auctions on TV and a '69 or '70 (especially in white) comes up....:O
so sorry, excuse me again:cheers:
