Next time you do sign ups please grant those that want to race will sign up. They should be guaranteed a grid spot. Those not signed up need to respect this and leave of asked to make room for a locked in racer via the sign up list.

If after qualify start time. I can see it being open pick. However if a racer was on time early and leaves to improve room connection. That doesn't mean he loses his spot.


Obvious issue arises today. Here I sit with an time planned to race and looking at the home screen.


"open lobby you can kick people" call me harsh but I take the time to follow the thread and make test and tune sessions. So just excited I was home on my kids last day from break and was able to make the early race.

Please come up with a good system to prevent future heart ache for others.

Also the room says 13/14 and loads in full.

There was you and two other racers that left and kept going in and out. I believe GTP_akmuq was one of them, can't remember the other but that person wound up getting in. It showed only 13 of 14 players so we didn't have an idea there were others trying to get in.

I think most would agree this race sign up sheet was put into place a little too late for the 4PM EST race, I think it was put into effect roughly an hour before.

Just goes to show that all the sign up sheets in google docs in the world don't always show an accurate picture of reality.

Yeah, we instituted this thread a bit late so it didn't work as well as it could have but we had three times the amount of people show up to race that were actually registered. We really didn't expect that to happen, but then again everybody was itching to race after the long off-season so the jumped on the first opportunity to get behind the wheel.

So the new rule is you can only participate in one of the races on Tuesday. Doesn't matter which one, but it can't be both. That way people will only be in the room if it's their time to race and not just because they happen to be free. With the large interest we have it will be a bit of a balancing act but I think this rule should help prevent these issues from arising again. In Owens instance, I know he would have chosen the late race if he had to pick just one so that would have made this a non-issue. 👍

Yeah, we instituted this thread a bit late so it didn't work as well as it could have but we had three times the amount of people show up to race that were actually registered. We really didn't expect that to happen, but then again everybody was itching to race after the long off-season so the jumped on the first opportunity to get behind the wheel.

I know, I didn't think it would be that busy for the early race. I figured the evening race would be packed so I decided to jump in the early one, who knew. I will rarely be able to make the early race, so Tuesday night will be my venue. When did the 8PM EST race get done with last night.
