Even though the car never deviated from a straight line mid air, when i landed the car just turned sharp right

This is where i ended up with the force of impact lifting the opposite side of my car off the ground.


I bet Honda didn't intend the CR-Z hyrbrid to be driven like this lol

Nice pics there Taital...you might find it interesting to know that Honda did make a jet...and it got off the ground too!

I'm pretty sure the CR-Z was not designed with flight in mind...although with a little force behind it...everything can fly.:tup:

Yeah that sounds sweet, hope I can make that series.

2 classes of cars on track at the same time, makes me think of the old days of Bathurst when they had V8s and 2 litre cars (some were NA hatchbacks, nearly a standard road car iirc).

We'll need well established driving standards thou.

Oni Mate, Put me down for a GT300 drive.
I cant commit to more than 1 series a week (for now) as the silly season is well upon us, therefore I do not have time to scratch me b***'s, let alone test 2 cars.

Sorry, probably a dumb question, but how can you tell if a car is stock or not? In online lobby I cant see anywhere this can be verified?

Quite a good question, we could set the PP limit to as close as it will go and figure that will cut out guys who have made any big modifications.

But that will only cover the GT500 cars, the GT300 guys will be well under that PP limit and could go to town.

It mostly comes down to honestly - we're pretty good for that here.

If someone has done a bit of work to their car, it will be noticable when they drive away from the other guys in their class.

If they try to be sneaky and play possum when other dudes are around (many ways you could do this) and then only use full power when they're in the clear. But that wouldn't work for long as we have guys here who watch the replays over - for their own interests and to officially check it. So trying to play possum would be noticed - ie short shifting or not holding full throttle under acceleration.

We would soon weed these guys out.

hey oni, im keen for the 300's but why not put the faster blokes in the 500's and slower blokes in 300's?

Just a question... because what if like.. me, and spin, and.. anyone else from the tier 2 or 3 are in the 300's and then stiggy from the first tier is the only tier 1 driver in the 300's...pretty boring racing?

And was also thinking a few mins ago... I beat Xerx in the series...haha, Xerx...your ****, I will own you any series mate! (as long as your not apart of it and you still have internet problems)

I don't think I'll commit to the next series at this stage, pretty unsure of my plans atm.

Well, I'm going to look like a plonker in that replay! I'd only done a few laps of Spa prior to tonight, and I think it showed with me going wide several times. I don't think I gained advantage from it, and if I thought I did I let off for a few seconds, but if I get a penalty fair enough, it was on several occasions.

I'm not sure what the rules are for wildcard drivers and their tyre regs, do they have one stint on softs like a tier 2? I noticed when i went back to look at the last lap battle between the top three that CJ was on softs. In any case well done mate, very good race

Also, Oni I'm not sure I'd have time for 2 different series, but I'd like to join the TC series if that's ok.


On another topic, my real car caught fire today, just what I needed...

Mate that's the most scary thing to happen, where you in the car at the time? It's happened to me and I don't think I've been so scared, sitting in the passenger seat in smoke then a flame licks the windscreen.

Hope all is ok and you didn't loose much besides the car

I found I was too hung up trying to keep 2 wheels inside white lines rule to effectively deliver any decent, consistent laps and the funny thing was I know I still had incidents where that simply wasnt possible due to tyre wear or not hitting the right turn in on eau rouge anyway.

Kicking myself I wasnt able to stay ahead of Stiggy on the last lap and then to rub it in he gets past CJ and picks up an extra 5 points!! For some reason I just couldnt make the tyres last as good as Stiggy .

Do we have a drop round in this championship? I'm just madly trying to do some calculations .

Yeah Taital I was in the car, but it was a relatively small fire, only under the bonnet.
Luckily I was quite close to a nearby restaurant car park, where I ditched the car and ran in to get a fire extinguisher.
The scariest part was that the battery was on fire, so things could have gotten very messy if that had exploded.
Almost every piece of rubber and plastic under the bonnet was melted and the battery probably shorted something important in the process, so definitely not worth fixing.

So if anyone's in Adelaide and they hear of a good little car for under 2 grand let me know. Need an emergency replacement!

Our cars power steering cap popped off coz we were in peak hour Sydney traffic and the oil caught fire on the engine because it was overfilled.

The windscreen melted, the drivers seat melted and the dash.

We were on the F3 which goes from Sydney to the central coast and beyond, thankfully we were only 20mins into the highway and it didn't take to long to get assistance but the car was gone. Full tank of fuel and clothes as we were moving to QLD so could have been very very bad

Sorry mate, I tried to hold you guys off, but by that last lap my tyres were destroyed. I tried to hold a defensive line into bus stop, but my fronts just couldn't hold up, and I slid, giving aussie the room he needed to pass I pitted once on lap 12, so by lap 25 was driving on canvas. :-(
